Growing up, the gender reveal was done in baby showers. Either the invitations said “it’s a boy/girl” or you arrived to the baby shower and the decor said it.

I went to a gender reveal party a couple of years back and I was given a cup cake 🧁 I didn't realise that the gender was inside of the cake and I ate the whole thing. I was then handed another one as there were too many and still didn't know that I was supposed to look at the colour of the icing. The baby boy is almost 2 years old now and that shit still haunts me 💀

I used to work in a bakery and I'd say about half the time someone ordered a gender reveal cake, they didn't know beforehand. They brought an envelop from the doctor's office and handed it to us to open. I had a girl actually ruin a gender reveal once because she confirmed the client's order, "a 6" vanilla cake with white buttercream exterior and blue filling" and the family wasn't supposed to know before the cutting

I feel like psychologically it would be better if you just told your older child that they will be having a younger brother or sister… rather than telling them that they will have a sibling (without specifying) and letting their imagination choose which they prefer… i feel like the second option has potential to start an unneeded emotional battle between the older and newest born even if it’s subconscious

When my baby cousin first became an older sister, she was like 4, her dad brought her to the hospital and after her sister was born they showed her sleeping in the crib and were like "Hey look you're a big sister now, you have a younger sister!" I was 5 when my little sister was being born so I remember, me and my siblings were betting on whether it would be a boy or girl and I got super invested in having a little brother, pretty much we have a picture on a shelf of me holding my little sister while very disappointed and smiling

We all got to be in the ultrasound to find out the gender of my sisters second child. My niece totally freaked out when it wasn't a boy and was screaming "I want a brother" so her dad had to take her outside to calm down 😆

We did a family cake with the colored icing in the middle. I was prego, hungry and wanted cake. I don't get doing extreme shows for it though. Atleast with cake you get to enjoy cake

I had a really small bee themed gender reveal last month. It was mainly just family & a buffet for everyone. Yellow for a girl, black for a boy. My partner and I just squirted each other with a water gun to reveal the gender. I don’t see the point of huge, expensive gender reveals tbh..

KZread recommended me this like a day after I watched the one where he said they were going to find out the gender at that appointment he wasn't allowed into, so of course I thought this was a new upload 😂

If I were to do that I'd have a friend order/buy pink or blue flowers and have them delivered during the party. I feel like that would be a safe gender reveal plan plus I love flowers.

I 100 percent agree with Pewds style of parenting, my parents had money but told me and my siblings we were broke, forcing us to be smart with money and never expect money from our parents or anyone. It made us self-reliant af

I have four younger sisters and I swear to god for like, the last 3 I broke down crying. Young children sometimes don't yet realize that they can end up relating and bonding with any sibling regardless of gender. For context, I am a guy.
