You will need Birth Certificate for baby first to apply for Canadian passport which can take upto 6 weeks. Then you can apply for Canadian passport on urgent basis showing your travel plan which takes about 2-3 days to receive. For indian visa - apply for e-visa which takes 24 hours to be processed and recieved.

Better to travel with child after 3 months only . Once you get the birth certificate, immediately apply for passport. For India travel, it’s always better to apply for OCI .You shouldn’t depend on visa. At the age of 18 , your child will decide he needs Canadian or Indian citizenship. Passport will be valid for 5 years

RH incompatibility is not limited to being Asian and European side spouses. It happens to same ethnicity people also and in India too. Canadian doctors have a very microscopic viewpoint. Vaccine works and makes pregnancy safe. However, it may become an issue in second pregnancy if the gap between two is very small. So better to discuss this with doctor so that you are informed. Our doctor forgot to tell us and we weren’t so aware so our second one was high risk and stressful. Plus our second kid was premature and was in nursery for couple of days. Rest all is good in first one so enjoy the phase.

This is known as Rh incompatibility however nothing to worry ,it can be tackled through a few injections.All will be good ❤best wishes 🎉

Hey Mohit & Sandra, Hope this helps, birth certificate takes around 4 weeks to arrive, given that u apply it online right at the hospital ( not sure about Quebec, my kid was born in Ontario ) Passport for kids is 5 years validity and takes around 2 to 2.5 weeks if u apply regular, u can also apply expedite in which case it arrives in 3-5 days max but there is additional cost. Indian visitor visa is online these days and takes only 13 hours, i applied for myself and i applied in the night and by morning i had the visa in my e-mail. ( you would want to get OCI later ofcourse but it takes longer, so would suggest u do that later or may be start the process in parallel), Congratulations to you and Sandra, and all the best for future upcoming events with the baby.
