😂 that was great! As a Gen 1 owner I am stoked to see them anytime, but I knew the Gen 3 was going to come out on the top end of that race as the ultimate winner. But that's ok, I don't have anything to prove with my SVT, and my V8 gets me where I'm going with 15.8 MPG's. My fuel saving sticker "Not Fast, Just Loud" saves me plenty on the highway😂 Love all the Raptors but the Gen 1 SVT will always be my favorite simply because of that beefy grill❤️‍🔥 Great video guys!

@@TexasTruckChannel That's awesome! And I wholeheartedly agree, the 6.2 Boss V8 engines are the family sized bag of chips for sure. I noticed when I first got my Raptor it was getting around 14.0 mpg so I checked my tire pressure and adjusted it, then my mpg went up to 14.8-14.9 mpg, so since I was running the tires more soft I adjusted it a bit further and made it more firm, @ 60-65 psi and my fuel economy started going to 15.0, then as it climbed up the numbers I was able to level it out at 15.8 where it stopped. I drove the truck consistently for 8 days on highway mostly, and very little stop and start. I'm happy just having 15 mpg, let alone 15.8. But I'm going to adjust the psi down slightly and see what happens between 56-60 psi just so I don't cause issues with my tires. They are the KO2 BFG tires but I still don't want to take a chance on popping any. It's all stock and I drive it like I do any of my V6 cars, between 55-60 mph. Again, that fuel saving sticker does help a bit, people know I'm doing the posted speed limit and that's it.

I think Ford is under-rating the new 3.5 EcoBoost, it’s def more powerful. Same with the new 5.0, they are rating it at 400 horse, only 5 Hp more than the last gen yet they hit 60 sub 6 seconds. That’s more than 400 horse at those times. I’d say the 5.0 is closer to 420 horse and the 3.5 HO is pushing upper 400’s

@@fireant1272 Coils, unless they’re coil-overs (about 10x more expensive) have no progression. When going slow and crawling they feel nicer, but anything above a crawl is going to benefit from a progressive spring rate, whether they’re leaf or coil-overs, coupled with a shock absorber. On previous leaf-sprung raptors, deavers (progressive by nature), shackles, coupled with bump stops and bypass shocks created a very progressive travel for about 1/20th the cost of converting to traditional 4-link, caging the bed, buying all new coil-overs and shocks, and modifying or replacing your axle housing. And that’s not even including labor. Leaf spring trucks can also go sprung-under which is another level above over-sprung in terms of progressiveness and travel. Airbags don’t belong in an offroad vehicle that’s intended for going anything faster than trail speeds

That’s why there are dozens and dozens of aftermarket suspension kits for them - to fix the fucked up suspension that comes out of the factory. I can get 18 inches of travel, with X2 bump stops and a 5 tube 4.0 bypass shock with progressive deavers for about 12-14k out the door. The Gen 3 Raptor is stuck with 15 inches of travel with a mediocre shock unless you’re willing to pay a minimum of $40 thousand dollars. I'm not sure but I think the gen 3 has a better tune and makes more power than ford is letting on. I say this because If I'm correct the gen 3 and gen 2 are both rated at 450 hp. I have even heard the gen 3 has different turbos but I don't know that for sure.

Not only that, if you're comparing the exhaust of two different engine types and expecting the comparison to be apples to apples, you're going to have a bad time. It's just not done. Also, no, the Gen 1 that you claim to own but don't actually own will not be as fast as the gen 2 or gen 3 raptors. The major factor here is output. You can bluster on all day about how 8 is a bigger number than 6, but it won't change that my 4.6 in my Crown Vic will get its shit kicked in by a 3.5 V6 Taurus. I don't care if you're talking about forced induction after the fact. That's like saying "if my car had the following mods, it would be able to beat this other car here."
