I love the blues and greens of Abalone best! I think those blues are just to die for! Gorgeous! I was always drawn to Mother of pearl things as a child, more so than the popular gemstones. I love the iridescent colours, silky textures and the rainbow colors. I used to say it looks like spilled petrol on tarmac... That oily black, blue, purple, green splash of colour.

This is my birthstone apparently and I have been feeling resentful because round white pearls are boooooring, but the weird shaped ones and the different colors, that's more my thing! The Tahitians look like metal! Heck yeah.

The classic round ivory (or white) pearls are my favs. Still, I thought some of the others like the Baroque and Southsea pearls were equally gorgeous. I usually decide such things on the basis that I could only afford to buy one. I love the golden pearls for sure!

Hey, I know I'm very late to this video but it would help if you gave price benchmarks for pearls (aside from million dollar conch pearls). There is a growing oyster shucking MLM on Instagram and TikTok where people shuck oysters in front of you but they put dyed pearls in the lining of the oysters. They are charging more than the worth of the pearls most likely so I think it would be helpful for people to understand the cost of specific types of pearls and whether they are dyed or natural.
