Hello! Welcome to Part 2 of the restoration/repair project of the Gemmy Leatherface (2006)! I highly recommend you watch Part 1 since it covers the planning of the project! This video is a documentary about how I replaced the chainsaw! This video is also professionally edited, and I made sure I was professional while on camera. I sometimes repat myself during certain segments and which I apologize for! Here a quick summary about what will happen in this video. I sadly couldn't save the original chainsaw that Leatherface came with. It was damaged beyond repair with bolts holding the blade and the body together. I basically Frankenstein a Rubies Chainsaw that had the same blueprints as the original Gemmy Chainsaw. I basically used the internals of the Gemmy Chainsaw and used the Rubies body and blade for this replacement. I also salvaged most of the Gemmy Chainsaw parts, such as the speaker housing and the metal bar from the Gemmy Chainsaw! For the wiring, it was just the simple mirror technique where I viewed the photos I took of the wiring on the Gemmy Chainsaw. I did many things with the replacement so it's easier if you watch the video since I'll be wiring an essay in the description lol. Last but not least, I'm aware that I ruined the originality of the character because I'm using a Ruby Chainsaw. At the time of the repair/replacement, I couldn't find a Gemmy Chainsaw that was produced during the same year of the production of Leatherface. The funny is that a listing popped up after I completed the chainsaw replacement. Photos and a demo of the chainsaw will be posted sometime later this week! That's all for now folks!
