its like the mixtrack they both dont have a sound card for asio support which mean delay if you have a sound card then get it sound card fix the delay when scratching

I'm having problems with windows XP sp3, mixvibes doesn't detect the device. But it works when i use it on a MAC.

Other controllers that will fit in a laptop bag are Pioneer DDJ Wego, Mixvibes U-Mix Control Pro 2, and JB Systems DJ Kontrol 1 and 2, as well as a kit of Traktor Kontrol X1+Z1. Currently chosing between them lot, it's difficult >.> Any opinions or input will be appreciated!

i got this last year and its pretty much really really cheap but its something that i use on the side just in case i need a emergency drop for my bass and just to tell you it looks small but thats the bright side i can bring it in the car just for fun

I don't get the people ridiculing this totally as a 'toy'. There is a new version of this for around £100 now with a built-on sound-card. But granted, I don't know how to dj and beat-match at all. If I reverted back to the old turntable routine, it's going to cost me 2 decks, a mixer, speakers and plus, heaps of records - we're talking a grand which I don't have!! I prefer something like this for my past-time and pleasure!

I think you should be able to get a DJ adapter for 10$ (available from brands Traktor, Mixvibes, Urbanears) which splits stereo signal into two mono signals, one goes to your headphone, other goes to the speakers. You would need specifically a DJ splitter and not a normal headphone splitter. You don't really need stereo signal when DJing - you won't be listening with both ears all the time and the club PAs are usually mono anyway. Of course it's not a pro solution, the laptop soundcards simply don't give a decent power level, but then again this controller is a toy, so it's a solution which fits. The only question is, whether the bundled version of Mixvibes software allows this setup, where cue goes completely to one channel and mix to the other on one stereo output? This also makes it obvious what they could have done better, namely they could have bundled such a cable and preset the software to run this way. Though of course most tower computers have 3 stereo outputs as opposed to one on most laptops, so you can use it on those out of the box.

If it died you can replace it with the discover DJ or the similar one from numark, you can get em on ebay for like 20 bucks.

I use the numark dj/io for queing and it has a mic input also. about $60 on ebay!!

ive never heard of one of these untill now but you dont really need this if u wanna start off djing because this wont be any good so if something is not good to use how could some one no if wanting to be a dj is right for them by using this,,,,,,,b4 i turned to pro mixers i used a cheep mixer in uk money it cost 200 pound and it was crap and i almost gave up on music then i used a pioneer and i loved it and i bought pro stuff then

@Wil8789 You gotta find some Technics for that or the V7s which both run you about $500 a piece. I hear theres a Numark turntables that are pretty cheap but are still decent, but ive never tried them so im not sure how well they work. Sadly, Pro DJ gear will drain your bank account. But if it didnt, then everybody would be a DJ.

Well the only Problem in my eyes is the fixed usb cable, but with a soldering iron i think it would be fixable :D

Marlon Arocha Those are all toys. None of them. If you want to stay super cheap either get a Mixtrack Pro or even a DJ-Tech Poket DJ Duo.
