I've been using my Geli plate for leaf, flower, text and stencil printing. I've never come across this method. It's amazing and the final results are spectacular. Repurposing a magazine image to produce a print is a fun way of using images. I'm going to have a go at doing this with some animal images I have. Thank you for the lesson.

You can't sell image xferred prints, as that does violate the copyright of the photographer. Otherwise I think used as collage, where the image isn't recognizable, may come under fair use. I am not sure on this last point, as it's never been discussed to the extent the other potential copyright violation has.

Beautiful work, but as an ex librarian and practising artist, I think if you are selling these images, then copyright has been infringed. Always something to keep in mind when, where and how much of a magazine image is used. That also applies to trademarks I believe.. You would need to consult a copyright lawyer but I understand the line is crossed if you make money from using a significant part of a published image and profit from the work without the publisher’s permission.
