Did you know you can change the hopper on the gel blaster surge and on the Joe blaster StarFire so you could have the go on the dark adapter on your surge and it work with glow-in-the-dark

Yes, the color scheme and the 'activator' (would would be the light in the hopper attachment) would be the two differences between those two models! If you can get them around the same price I would get the Starfire so you can have the glow option if ever you wanted to go that route. I have seen it on sale at Target for $99.99 with a $25 gift card if you spend over $100 in toys. I am sure customer service at Target would give you the gift card even though you are 1 cent short.

For longevity stay away from starfire $68 it's 50/50 weather it works more then a day. Surge 2.0 has been pretty solid used 100k plus shots so far. Og no ideal how long it last. Outta 4 starfires only 2 worked the next day. Surge 2.0 outta 4 all been solid at 100k plus shots.

@@MrPlumloko Beside the line wait, hassle free! I like it! Well I hope with the returns and complaints they must be getting will call attention to the quality control and push them to do better! Overall I love their product and wish it to do better. In the beginning I did order the adult versions from overseas but it didn’t make it through customs etc so I looked within the US for a product that would work for me.

@@bricktipster yeah I agree, mainly the components getting wet. Top down hoppers are good just no wear for that water to go. Until then mags it is lol

@@MrPlumloko It's weird because I was under the impression, other than the feed neck with the UV lights, they should be the same blaster with different colored shell.

Just wondering what was the issue u were having that a replacement was needed. Just order mines and just looking out for and potential issues, thanks.

Hello Joe! Yes, so my motor in the original one stopped working and require you to unscrew the hopper, then screw it back on for it to start working again. The other time I called for a replacement was when the charge light would never turn off. I didn't necessarily request a replacement. I told them the issue professionally in an email and then said that I would like a replacement sent to me as soon as possible and then provided my address. The less going back and forth and wasting of time, the better. They didn't have to reply with asking any info and just sent me an order confirmation and I got the gun shortly after! Thanks for the question and support!

I like how the Starfire looks like an alien weapon, gun from halo it looks so cool

Correct, I have seen Target run these for $75 twice now ($99.99 + a Target $25 gift card) I have a review in the works for the XL as I bought it the first week it came out, but work as been busy :) Thank you for the support and I hope you like the XL! Eventually I want to get the adult ones they use in Australia. You definitely won't find those in the kid's toy isle ;)

My OG (white and orange) is way faster. Between the other two, I believe they are the same with same motor. I wouldn’t see why they would change up the motors between the StarFire and newer Surge :)

Hello man! Sounds like your gun is just over feeding. It is a toy, so I don't know anything you can do to help that. Eventually have you considered moving up to the adult versions of gel blasters?

How long does a full battery last on the starfire?

Great question! During a battle I have never had mine die, however I have never timed it. I’ll look into it and get back to you with what I find!

The website says up to 4 hours of play on a 45 minute charge which sounds incredible! I wonder if full auto cuts that in half or not…. Like I said before, dead batteries haven’t been the problem ever for me with these guns. They always last our battles and then some.

Hydro Strike Pulsar or SplatRball SRB blasters have toy friendly colors but are mag fed and look somewhat realistic. They aren't as good as the aluminum ones but they are $80-100 not $600-1000 like those fancy ones.
