“How do two brothers get into the nail care business?” This is the single most common question people ask us. There’s a long and rocky version but we’ll give you the short one. We have our fearless and unconventional mother, Young Salo, to thank. With a single-minded entrepreneurial spirit, she decided to start her own business at the age of 49. She had a passion for the nail industry and we did everything in our power to support her. In the end, this is a family business.
Greg, the older brother, became a licensed nail technician after switching gears from fire fighter’s training. He is energy personified and has a true passion for developing the best professional nail care products and education. Habib is the younger brother. He jumped in a few years later; taking a detour from medical school and a life in music. He brings his own creative mind for business, marketing and strategy. Unexpectedly, we are a perfect team.
Today, more than 20 years later, Young Nails Inc., is a professional nail care manufacturing company exporting to over 40 countries worldwide and distributing domestically to over 3000 stores. We’re respected for our next-level product innovation and education. Our mission is to bring you the best quality products and we’ll show you how to use them with incredible results. It’s really that simple.
Welcome to the Young Nails family!

    Synergy is by far the best nail product. Zero lifting (I know, because I’m a swimmer). I don’t have to soak in acetone EVER! I don’t have to deal with smelly application! It’s low odor & easy to apply indoors, without opening any windows or using fans. Stop torturing yourself & your clients. Get Synergy Gel and you’ll find is files easier than anything and it’s stronger than traditional acrylic & soak off type softer gels. Synergy is crystal clear & comes in so many colors. The easy applicator tubes are the best time saver & the easiest way to sculpt a super fast extended nail. I seriously can’t live without Synergy Gel. They even have nude and pink base colors, for attaching full cover well tips, which then cut out the art of sculpting. I can pop on a full set of long coffin extensions in less than 35 minutes, then I have time to add custom art, without running over 1 hour. NOTHING ELSE WORKS LIKE SYNERGY with it’s entanglement magic, where it bonds perfectly with YN Protein bond. The prices are good, considering the amount of product is in those applicator tubes but also considering the time saved, I can’t afford to rebuild every set after soaking & removing it. Instead I do a fill the next time and I have 30-40 minutes to spoil the client with extras & art. The downside, more dust when filing. It’s like snow haha. Honestly with a dust collector it’s fine. I wear a mask although it doesn’t bother me whenever I’m unmasked. I’m very happy with YN products. I haven’t had any disappointments with their products. Their free online instructions are top notch! Everyone can do this! 9if you can paint your nails, you can learn to do your own nails. 🎉 * leaving a layer of Synergy base under any application, protects the client’s natural nails, also leaving a layer of protection for when they want the nails removed. I top that layer with YN fiber gel to let the nails grow out naturally if they’re wanting to go back to natural nails (which rarely happens)

    I'm a DIYer still enjoying my YN black friday haul and I love questions like this because they get me thinking about how else I can explore my products and techniques =) That said, are you talking about using any of the synergy gels to adhere your press-ons to your natural nail? I can see that being successful, however your press-ons should be translucent enough for the gel to cure properly, and you'd need to etch the underside of them to get them to adhere properly. OR: are you wanting to encapsulate the press-on with gel? Again, {Greg is inside my head now lol} you'd probably need to etch the surface to make the gel adhere well. Maybe try doing 1 on a press-on that doesn't fit you so if it doesn't work it won't be a major loss.

    You can apply the gel over the tips, just make sure to remove the shine completely from the surface of the tip. Also keep in mind that if you apply product over the whole tip, it can get thicker and may look bulkier than a traditional full set. As for using the gel to keep them "re-usable," if you soak off, the gel is only on the surface of the tip, so the acetone will still dissolve it from underneath. In order to re-use them, our best suggestion would be to use the adhesive tabs as these will allow you to use them and remove with no damage.

  • @youngnailsinc

    @youngnailsinc

    Жыл бұрын

    If it's separating, you may be applying it too thin or on too smooth of a surface. You may need to use a little more product. Gel and gel top coats don't adhere well to smooth or shiny surfaces. Make sure you do not buff your enhancement before applying it and use a coat of Protein Bond if you are going right over the enhancement. If you are applying it over gel polish, make sure to leave the tacky surface of the gel polish so the top coat can stick to it.

    Yes, they are all the same strength once cured. The difference is in the consistency when applying. If it's easier for you to work with a more fluid consistency then flex is a good option since it self levels. If you prefer a rigid consistency then the concealers are good since they don't self level as quickly.

    We do not test our products with other brands, so we can't guarantee how well this will work. Helppppp! So I'm noticing my sculpted nails (any length, XL/XXL almondetto specifically currently)end up on the thicker side. I'm gonna assume it's bc my encapsulation layer(both gel&acrylic) are being applied too thick while trying to create proper structure. I file&shape to a more acceptable thickness but Then adding top coat just makes them bulky again! I did try using ultimate finish as an encapsulation layer rather than build pink on top of my dimensional layers and it came out much thinner. Do you think trying gloss synergy gel would be a good idea? Can I use that as an encapsulation layer&top coat combined rather than build pink&stain resistant? Or can I get some advice- not sure why I want to apply build pink so thick 🤔 is gloss the same viscosity as build pink

  • @youngnailsinc

    @youngnailsinc

    Жыл бұрын

    When you are encapsulating, it can be a challenge to keep the nails thin. We recommend using the thinner gels (Base, Flex, Build/Build Pink) and when you are layering your designs in, only brush on a thin coat, enough for the glitter etc to adhere to. After applying your dimensional art, then cap with the Build Pink or your choice of thicker gel. Here's a great video to show you how to encapsulate in thin layers, even on a shorter nail. kzread.info/dash/bejne/eWeg15R8ks-feqQ.html

    Flex is just like the other gels you can build the nail with (Build, Build Pink, Concealer Pink & Peach, Clear Sculptor). It is just a thinner consistency. If that is what you like to work with, Flex is a good option. If you are working somewhere very cold, Flex could be a better option than one of the thicker gels and the cold thickens gel. Mixing glitter into gel also thickens it, so Flex is a good option to balance it out to keep the gel in a workable consistency.

    You can encapsulate glitters or air-dry polish (as long as it's completely dry) as part of the design, but you would need to use the Synergy Base as a foundation layer and then you can use the Flex to build the structure of the enhancement. If you are just trying to use the Flex as a top coat for your traditional polish applications, we do not recommend this as the product would be likely to peel off.

    Yes, for some clients who need a little more durability, you can use Synergy Base underneath your gel polish. You can just apply the polish on top of the base if you are happy with how the base looks. Just remember you won't be able to soak off the base gel as hard gel doesn't soak off.

    You could but you wouldn’t be able to soak off the base gel as it is a hard gel.

    is base strong enough to be used on its own or does it need the other gels to be built on top to be strong enough for everyday wear and tear?

  • @youngnailsinc

    We would recommend using another gel over the Base to give the nail structure and durability. Base by itself can be too hard and could crack when just a thin coat of it is used.

    @@youngnailsinc so, shame on me for watching the videos after purchasing and applying. I used the base gel on its own to build a nail on a client. Can you advise what will happen? Will the nail be too weak , crack, or split with just the base gel on its own ?

    Hi 👋🏾 is YN Fiber Gel rubber base ?

  • @youngnailsinc

    @youngnailsinc

    Жыл бұрын

    Rubber base is kind of a generic term for a soft gel base coat that is flexible and can be used for building a structured gel manicure. Fiber Gel is similar to that but in addition, it contains micro fibers that weave together to form a mesh within the gel to give even more flexibility and durability. Fiber Gel is also infused with Keratin to protect the natural nail.

    It’s this gel getting hot on the nail plate?

  • @youngnailsinc

    @youngnailsinc

    If you are feeling those heat spikes, it may be that you are using thicker layers of product, which can produce more heat. Try applying less product or using the “low heat” mode on our lamp. In this mode, it will begin curing slower & then the power of the lamp will increase to fully cure. You can also start by curing the nails just outside the light for 20-30 seconds & then place them fully under the light to complete the cure without the heat spikes.

    We said above that the thickest one is our clear sculptor in the pot. As for hardest, all have equal strength once cured. The different consistencies don't make them harder or softer than the others. They are just for what you like to work with.

    The reason I'm asking is because the hard gels that I've worked with still run all over the place into the cuticles, the sidewalls Etc so that's why I'm asking which one is the most stiff I guess you would call it so that doesn't run all over the place before you cure it
