I’m not sure everybody realizes just how brilliant this commercial is. The play on the word rat is obvious. However, if you’ve ever watched the original video for round and round, Ratt is actually playing in an attic, just like in the commercial. Genius!

They are playing in those places BECAUSE of the name Ratt. Not in the comercial, but in the video. So that is why AND why. The commercial idea wasn't brilliant...the Ratt video was.

Back in the 1980's, Ratt toured with the band Poison, and they called it the Ratt Poison concert. People were like, "Who the heck names a band Rat Poison?" until they realized it was actually two bands!

Me too! It cracks me up every time I see it, especially when the homeowners see the band in every room they go in and are trying to pretend the band isn't there. I would be jumping in and singing with them, not trying to hide from them! :)

I'm just happy Ratt is getting the recognition they deserve, Ratt is an amazing band, and deserves to be known by this generation, I am a part of (I'm a teenager, and this is the music I listen too)

I heard it around back in the 80's and loved it. I was 6 in 89 tho so I couldn't party with it. I daydreamed about being a cool teenager in the 80's. Of course that would never happen.

I love how the woman is eating chips and leaving the kitchen trying to avoid the Ratts 😜

I know they got paid; but still, Ratt were good sports with this one! Hilarious.

Old rockers don't die they either make commercials as you see here or go on perpetual nostalgia tours. I know cause I love when those types of tours come around.

I much prefer this commercial rather than the clogging one!! They haven’t played this one in a while. Which sucks!

I would not consider myself a big Ratt fan but I love this commercial and that song has been stuck in my head for the last two weeks.

Just saw Stephen Pearcy doing a gig out here in Las Vegas (where he now lives) last night. The guy still brings it!

HOW- This was before I knew who RATT was and I saw this commercial so many times!! Now I get it 😭

Yep and any 80s hard rock band would be alright to see jamming out! I miss being able to go to my fave band concerts from that era. Even though many of the 80s hair metal bands have been touring for many years over the past couple decades, nothing beats the original MTV era. I used to hear Ratt on the radio from day into late night, as well as Van Halen, Def Leppard and all the other great bands of the time. Back when it was fun to listen to the radio all day and all night because of all the great music.

Ratt is such an underrated band. If you've only ever heard the song round and round and you liked it i would highly recommend listening to their albums out of the cellar and invasion of your privacy. Great band.

Absolutely. Original drummer Bobby Blotzer (who's not in the commercial) has said the band's catalog is blowing-up (downloads). And more power to 'em! My fav band and there's only a handful of other groups over time that can give them a run as far as two-guitar interplay and groove. It's as good and deep as it gets instrumentally. #RATTnROLL

Not sure whom I spoke with tonight aside from her first name. I manage a call center and I pride myself on exceeding customer expectations. This sounds like a canned boilerplate response, but I really do take my job that seriously! Anyway, someone by the first name Ivannah made me view your company in a whole new light. I've always had the utmost respect for the levels of service you bring, but one agent encapsulated that. Long story short...thank you for working so diligently with me and proving that I picked the right company so many years ago. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!

Dont know em-never followed them but loved this song from back in the day (not that far back). It was nice to see them get some flash and play with this commercial. I dont know if they tour alot or how their popularity is but was good to see them here. I guess if I said to them they looked good they would be insulted. So they sounded good and it was a funny commercial. Good job.

@@astralartist4 Yes it is one of their most recognizable songs but the original video is what is the basis for this commercial. Remember first seeing the video for Round and Round when it first came out. This commercial is great and so is the original video. Milton Berle who did a cameo in the original video as himself and as his wife was a relative of one of the band members. Still watch it today as well as this commercial!
