So Todd Howard has said there is no atmosphere entry or flying. You choose where to land and that's it. But there seems to be plunty to do in both space and on the many planets we will explore.

Hey hold your horses bud. Minecraft, and Tetris still continue to exist. I feel it will replace Skyrim as the rpg god to rule them all for Bethesda it will take up the role fallout 4 was supposed to, but for the consumer it should fill the cyber punk hole left in our souls.

@@vincentebanks3464 And if Bethesda releases DLCs for settlements, and other things, this could be the game that wipes the table of all other previous Bethesda games for modders and freedom. Personally would love to see a settlements dlc in this game, like Fallout 4, with the new outpost building mechanics, just so we can have the Sim Settlements mod team come in and work their magic.

@@Cramblit I think Bethesda is really into adding in moding features into there games. They add in mods to cannon Skyrim just a while ago, and I believe both Skyrim and fallouts 4 had a mod section on consoles. The reason the top games are there is purely due to the mod community. Every one loves playing there own way.

@@vincentebanks3464 Oh yes, Oblivion and Fallout 3 added popular mods from Morrowind, while Skyrim, and Fallout 4 added popular mods from Fallout 3, and Oblivion, etc. Bethesda definitely does add previous mods into newer games. That's why I think we can open and run a shop in Starfield now, because that was a mod, as well as some other features I saw.

The face tattoo on the guy at the space port is a Maori (indigenous peoples of New Zealand/polynesia) tattoo. They're of cultural significance and signify life accomplishments, personal identity, etc

This looks like the dream game I’ve thought about since I was a kid. Your genuine appreciation for the little details like the food and the robot saying your name was nice to see, so many people don’t even think about the work that goes into that.

Planet Earth in this game is most definitely gonna be post apocalyptic. Remember that scene with an arch? I believe that was the gateway arch in St. Louis. So I think you'll be able to see historic landmarks that maybe survived in some areas.

as for "the Force" that's probably an Alien power that was transferred into our character when the artifact we find gives us the visions that Constellation talks about. Most likely the Starfield version of shouts in Skyrim.

No Man's Sky is an arcade game masquerading as a space sim and Star Citzen is a glorified tech demo that will likely end up being vaporware. I fell in love with Bethesda's open world game style with Morrowind because i don't mind the fantasy setting. However I too get a better tickle for my pickle with Sci-fi so I couldn't have been happier to see Fallout 3 After that Bethesda earned a no questions asked purchase from me for life. Skyrim was amazing and FO4 was servicable BUT Starfield is a dream come true. Can't wait.

I completely understand sandwich lady's mentality. Bethesda games are some of the only ones that allow you to move and manipulate inventory items in the world space. Personal experience, in Skyrim im a bit of a bastard so assassins and bounty hunters coming after me for something i cant remember doing is kind of common. They forget that im the dragonborne so their skulls, through a mod dont judge, and their contract are forfeit. I pile the skulls in my home forge and their contracts are neatly placed in a fancy bowl by my door. Its part of the fantasy for me and I love it.

Star Citizen may have made over 500 million but there's no way that the budget for the game, there's no way they put 500 million into the game to be where they are now. EDIT: Your reaction to being able to dock with enemy ships and boarding them was exactly like mine and was what sold me on the game as well! TH did say that Starfield is Skyrim in space. The scene reminded me of the Unrelenting Force shout in Skyrim. Mod authors will fix those dancers. Expect them to be replaced by attractive women in skimpy outfits, but you might have to play on PC for that one. IDK how much MS will allow for the XBOX Series X mods, but given all the mod sites for PC expect it to be nearly anything goes on PC. TH has already said that Starfield will be a modder's paradise.

Thank you for saying that about the publishers being the ones to put out a bad game because I agree. But unlike star citizen and no man’s sky. Starfield is the only open world single player space exploration game. People try and say what about outer worlds. Outer worlds isn’t open world. You are restricted to the starting planet when you play the game. Open world means no restrictions in movement and travel imposed by the game. What is crazy. Things starfield is doing now. Was talked about star citizen doing. Docking to ships in space. Life forms roaming the planets. AI crewed ships. All that is still coming to star citizen.

So excited for this game to come out. I feel the same as you, just plan to play it and play it!

The game pad works with your PC over Bluetooth. I think having it will give you an advantage because this game is made to work with one. Otherwise you will be searching for the proper commands or trying to set up a joy stick. Plus the Starfield controller is just plain cool.

As we saw in the video, in Starfield you can board a ship and not only explore it, but take it for yourself and your fleet, and I think it will be very interesting to see the results of taking ships from the various factions, and also how much money you can make doing so. It will be great to look at other ships and get ideas for your own ship, since you have so much power to change and add things to your ships unlike any other game I've seen. In X4 you can also take over ships, including freighters, battleships, fighters and other types. You can hire marines to help take over ships that are still in use, even from a friendly faction, and make a huge amount of money that way. I don't remember being able to take over and use ships at all in Elite. You'll probably never be able to take ships like that in Star Citizen because it's mainly about selling video game ships to players for hundreds of dollars, and people wouldn't buy them if they could just board and take them over for free like you can in Starfield and X4.

I have watched this Starfield Direct several times from several different content creators, and this is the first time I noticed when Todd says, "versus the many planets which are barren, but resource heavy" while the video is showing a MOON not a planet. So if they are calling MOONS planets, then they are using one heckuva loose definition of PLANET. Which is still fine with me, I just think they should have been a little more specific, because this COULD be a contentious take for some.

Yha. It can’t run on current gen consoles. You need very high end PC. Even with a 2070TI I get lag

Having the Sol system probably means Venus is a planet. So some planets may have hostile enviroments, which we haven't really seen yet.

Star citizen is a money hole it's still in alpha and it started pre production in 2010 so 13 years ago and still no where near finished

stop talking about 70 dollars for the love of god games back when 70 was 95 ish in todays money for short games nintendo puts out 11 hour metroid game its loved... this game is main quest only 27+ fyi sony who is bad has a 400 dollar pc the same cost of the 2013.. micosoft kinda the same... use MATH!!?@!?@?!@? for real i knew ppl making 14 a hour in a meduim size town going to the mf movies and spending 17 ish so with # math taxes is maybe 2.4 hours of work vs 1.5 hour movie they might not like... with snacks. but ppl are like well 70 bucks for a game i might spend 40+ hours on woof i gotta cry about math.. this is how a stocker at a mf grocery store is a home owner... and any mech game wait for a sale...i h ave over 120 hours in hearthstone while spending only abut 90 bucks over 7 years and if 70 is to much for any meduim to high gamer u have a u tube to are ahigh get gamepass plz
