The acting in this movie was actually soo goood.

This was one of the ABSOLUTE best DCOMs to come out of the 2000s. Despite what happened in their personal relationship offscreen, they had some great chemistry and really brought the story to life

Exactly.

I feel like in this scene she got to say everything she felt about him not caring or understanding her. Because before the movie, they were already dating for years but through those years she was being abused by him and more later years after finishing the movie. She stayed with him because she was scared I think or she still loved him and thought he would change.

this part made me cry as a kid, haha

i felt for Dylan when i was 6 and i feel for her now.

Amy was a way better friend to Dylan than Hannah and Lola ever were. I mean I’m sure they cared about Dylan but they disliked that Dylan had transformed into a geek. Hannah and Lola stopped hanging out with her and Dylan had to just stop talking to them because she felt unwanted. And as soon as Dylan got popular again and more than ever, they immediately approached her at the Spring Formal and Hannah said to Dylan, “There you are. You don't have to hang with the riff-raff anymore.” I’m surprised that Hannah and Lola didn’t become friends with Nicole. It seemed like they would, given that Hannah and Lola stopped hanging out with Dylan, but either ways it is implied that Dylan stopped being friends with Hannah and Lola and it’s good because Dylan deserved better.

This one of two things that make me cry 1: leaves from the vine 2: this movie

Josh started Filming the movie before he got to know the real Dylan and Dylan was upset that everyone was laughing at her behavior So she ran out crying and Josh tried to tell her that He didn't mean to upset her but Dylan didn't want to hear it and walked away

Poor Dylan. I feel you here.

but Dylan’s is secretly a geek, also Haley was always confident and didn’t care about much, dylan is more relatable cause she has hard insecurities and didn’t act like who she really is almost all the time because of them

You know what sucks is she treated him like shit from the beginning and she felt like this was sort of her karma for how mean she was for the person she wanted to be, knowing the person she was on film showed how absolutely great she was. I know she lost her mom and I am sure deep down her mother wouldn’t have wanted her to change into someone else. At least Josh was honest though just wanting a good grade and later on he really began getting attached to her as he show the person she really was that she should’ve been..

Dylan is the best girl in the movie
