The thing with VShoujo vs Japanese VTuber Corps makes a lot of sense. Japanese way is focused on Idol Culture more, so you're focused on Individual Groups & Company as a whole more. Meanwhile VShoujo seems to be more focused on the Individuals as 1 Cohesive Whole, ESPECIALLY with the Newest Talents. With Japanese Culture it's "Ask not what Corpo can do for you, but what you can do for Corpo", whereas VShoujo sounds like it's, "Ask not what you can do for us, instead let us know what we can do for you. Helping you makes us more money, so let us grow together!"

The biggest thing with Japanese Corpo, is....use them. Let them pump you up to big fame. IF the Power Imbalance and/or BS and/or Rules get too much, LEAVE THEM! At that point you'll have achieved enough access to at least look at joining VShoujo. When you become popular enough, you can easily make it big as Indie. Hell just look at how much popularity Pomu currently has as an Indie. Going Indie isn't the death sentence it used to be. It's a lot easier to regain a lot/all of your popularity now when you "Rebirth", compared to previous years.

So what I get from this is "Never join a VTuber agency".

I mean VShoujo is technically one and they work fine. Not to mention many newer talents at VShoujo probably would NEVER have gotten in if they want Corpo. For Japanese Corpo, you want to get in & get out. You get a MASSIVE advantage of a Big Built In Audience, that practicallyt Guarantees you large Instant Success at a FRACTION of the Cost. But you don't want to stay TOO long, because at a certain point, the Power Imbalance will shift too far away from your favor. You'll be popular enough that you won't need to stick to their Rules and/or BS. because you'll be a Popular Indie or join VShoujo or whatever. I mean look at Pomu. She had a scuff stream without even a model, and she had a BIG audience for her Scuffed Indie Stream.

You can either take months on the CHANCE that you'll get over 100k+ Subs, which will almost certainly take you 5+ months, OR you can join Corpo with a 100% chance of 100k+ subs. An the odds that you'll EVER reach 100k+ Subs is TINY! There's streamers who have been doing this regularly for 5+ Years who have LESS than 50k Subs. LESS than 800 Views on the regular.
