15:11 Thank you SO MUCH for sharing this video! I donated the chair plaque that reads, “Some memories last forever” RUSH to the Massey Hall revitalization. It was so exciting to have Strombo mention that and read my question to Geddy and Alex answering Working Man, hilarious! I would still like to know if Nancy remembers what their first dance song was at their wedding? Thank you for capturing Geddy saying “hi” to me in the front row! That was surreal!❤️

I was at the Forum in 2015 to see the last show! I had tears in my eyes 👀 as Neil came from behind the Drumkit and put his arms around Geddy and Alex! He had NEVER done that before and we all knew it was the end! RIP PROFESSOR ❤❤❤

I wish I saw that show because they DID NOT play "Losing It" at the previous night at Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre. And that may have been the last show for the venue as well. Losing It was the song I most wanted to be witness to, especially that they didn't play it when I saw my 1st Rush concert on the "Signals" Tour 😥. At the very least there is footage of Ben Mink (in Toronto) and Jonathan Dinklage on violin at the Forum show :). - Rest in Peace John Rutsey & Neil "The Professor" Peart.

From a Gary to Geddy your one of the most talented musician of all time! No one touches your talent on bass, keyboards, and singing! You are the definition of Unique and RUSH is not RUSH without your playing and vocals! To quote the movie: I LOVE YOU MAN! Alex and Neil as well!!

Thanks for the post. What a great night and fitting that Alex was there to finish Geddy's tour. Growing up in Niagara FalIs, I first saw Rush at the New Century theatre in Niagara Falls NY, with UFO as the opener and we were 5 rows fro m the stage. UFO with Michael Schenker in front of us was awesome, but when Rush came on opening with Xanadu and the dry ice hit my face, that was it for me!. Saw them 7 more times and they always put on a top notch show. Hope Alex and Ged will work together again but even seeing them on these tours is great!

This is my essay to people who may not know RUSH or who Neil was professionally and his contributions to the art of drumming and lyrical writing! Enjoy! RUSH is THE PERFECT EXAMPLE of the fluidity of MASTERING TIME SIGNATURES! I play drums and there are a few things that you need to know about Neil Peart’s ( pronounced PEER-T) character: First he writes the lyrics so he knows in advance what TYPE of song it’s meant to be ie ballad, driver, etc. Second he COMPOSES on the drums… like a carpenter who looks at a set of blueprints before building the object. Neil lays out a SKETCH in his mind of the VOICES of the drumset and builds the song from there. He is also a great LISTENER knowing when NOT to step over Geddy’s singing or Alex’s solos! Finally, he had perfect timing and fluidity of time changes. He said himself that it’s not about COUNTING the time signatures as much as fluid motion to change the tempo without counting: in other words it should FLOW! He hates repeating the same drum patterns in the same song meaning if he plays a fill one way the first time around he will play it differently the second time around. IE. Rolls down the toms the first time around and triplets or quads (all four limbs) the second time around. In short there will NEVER be another like him on planet earth 🌍 🌏 🌎! REST IN PEACE PROFESSOR! With heart felt admiration and sincerity! Gary

No offense… as a Black RUSH fan from way back, the Nacromancer is one of my favorite songs and it’s the first I learned on bass. Man… Geddy is awesome, as hard as his phrasing is, it’s also easy to catch up to. A. J. C., III 16 Apr 24 12:39a

Like how Geddy acts with fondness about Lifeson, like he is a special child that needed protection from his synth arrangements. Hurt his feelings.

There were a lot of great stories and revelations and everything in this video. But I think the most shocking thing came near the very end when they revealed that Rush once opened for Sha Na Na. Like, WTF?! Who thought that was a good idea?! Lmao! Or did they fool me and that was just a joke?!

At 24: 55 … Geddy mentions the Chicago Amphitheater being his least favorite due to the bad reverbish acoustics…. That’s where the 1997 portion of Different Stages was recorded and you can definitely hear what he’s talking about I always wondered why that performance came out sounding the way that it did. And now we know

When watching Geddy play with Yes at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, it seemed like Jon Anderson did not look at Geddy at all while on stage. It almost seemed like Jon snubbed Geddy a little. Did anybody else notice that?

At 18:46, where Alex is also answering a fan question about; "Have you ever met one of your heroes"? And 2 guys _sounded_ like they were yelling-out "Opeth!!!" as if they knew a story behind that. Rush & Kansas will always fight the No. 1 spot, but Opeth is in my Top 10 bands of all time in a HUGE listing of bands. I would LOVE to know what that "request" was all about (and if indeed they said Opeth :p). I'll take Opeth over Tool for many reasons, but I do enjoy their music. Btw - there is a video with Strombo where Geddy talks about meeting Robert Plant in Morocco on Vacation, and Alex & Ged meeting Robert & Jimmy Page :).
