    For the people concerned. I honestly had just one question about percentage. And that was "what's 25% of 100?" Dont let people on here make u feel so dumb. It's not as bad as u think. I haven't been to school in 12 years and passed with flying colors. Good luck and dont get discouraged by all these overdramatic vids. Just brush up on your algebra and very little geometry. DON'T FORGET U CAN MISS HALF YOUR QUESTIONS. do some studying but dont overthink it. Good luck my peeps

    I have failed my math test twice now...the next time will be my last try and if I fail..I get a 2 month penalty. For the past few months I have been studying like crazy and in the past few weeks I have been working with a tutor. This next week I will take the test again. I am nervous about failing again and having to wait months, but I am not doubting my self and I feel ready to take it again. The first time I took the test was really just to see where I was at. I ended up scoring a 141. So I studied for 3 weeks, took a practice test, and I ended up scoring a 149 on the practise test, I was proud of my self and signed up for the test again..sadly I ended up running into some life issues and I ended up having to wait almost 2 weeks before I could take the darn test again..come test day my mind was all over the place..and I ended up scoring a 140.. I took another practise test about a month or so ago and scored a 139..at this point my scores were literally plummeting into an abyss. The tutor they had given me was great and helped a lot..I have and still am understanding math concepts I never knew before..and I am dyslexic so this is a big accomplishment for me..nd I have actually found out I am pretty good at math. Only god knows what will happen this next week, I have put more time into obtaining this GED than anything else I have done so far in my life(granted I am still very young) I pray all this time and practise/studying will pay off, even if it does not..that just means ill need to keep trying. I hope the best for all those who go after their GED. So far I have noticed taking notes and keeping things fresh in your mind tends to help the best, and do not over work your self, remember to take breaks, and tutors do help a lot.

    question 8. why do you have to replace the 4 with 2 squared, same with 36 to 6 squared? how do you know when and if to do that? thanks

  • @Ashlander67

    @Ashlander67

    4 жыл бұрын

    Because 2 * 2 is 4 and then 6 * 6 is 36 it's mostly asking you what number times itself can you cross out or times another number to cross out since 2 * 2 equals 4 it was changed to a two

  • @UltimateAlgebra

    @UltimateAlgebra

    4 жыл бұрын

    That's why we explained it with -2 in the video. It's a very common mistake. (-1)^2 is positive 1, here we are seeing as -1 x -1. -1^2 is -1, here we are seeing as 1 x 1, which is 1, then bringing the negative to get -1. For the first one we are squaring the negative and the one. For the second one we are just squaring the one, so the negative remains

  • @UltimateAlgebra

    4 жыл бұрын

    I know your teacher probably taught you BODMAS, but using BODMAS has a fundamental problem. I have seen so many students get questions wrong because of that. BODMAS assumes you always do DIVISION before MULTIPLICATION. That is not true. There are times you have to do MULTIPLICATION before DIVISION.
