GEC is making a #74 run in October. I spotted triple line Northfield Mustang bolsters on the GEC web-sight.

Really enjoying all the traditional knife videos you have been uploading, Great job. I'm guessing that the next #74 is a yellow rose bone. I have one that should be coming in any day now, can't wait to get it. Take care.

Thanks for the video. The picture that GEC posted on their social media Facebook page looks much more green. I have one arriving in a day or two but I think I'm going to sadly be disappointed and it might be an exchange. To be determined

Mine looks very similar to the one in the video. I'm still torn on if I'm keeping it or not. I like the satin blade and no etching (compared to the polished, etched blades on most of the other #74s). Compared to the Mustang Autumn Bone Jig and the Cocobolo, this is 3rd in my preference for #74. (it would be farther down if it didn't have such a nice blade). Nothing really wrong with the green, I'm just not blown away by it. The Autumn Bone Jig just blows it out of the water in terms of contrast , but I don't like the blade shape as much (and you can't really pinch it). Overall, I'm most likely going to return the #74 in green for another future GEC in green.

Do any of you still have your spring green 74, and if so are you dissatisfied enough to part with it? This would be a really good alternative to the spring green 77 that's been hogging my pocket for months now.

Spring green is a lighter shade of green.

is this stallion blade the same as the "heartland clip" on the rob bixby special order model 74s, which came in gabon ebony, etc?

Barry Salberg they are the same Muskrat clip blade. The 74 stallion in Gabon ebony is in Tidioute and the Heartland Clip is in Northfield. The blade blanks should have been identical
