This has to be the only game where my progress got reset and I was HAPPY. Just meant I could reexperience grinding through the game again. Probably the quintessential Gears game for me, for sure. If only Epic could figure out how to program a heavy AR that fires bullets instead of nukes.

Dude Gears of war was my childhood and when i hear this and the first and second menu theme i just cry man no joke, i miss those days playing along side with my brother the campaign and online with our friends, so many memories :' )

Oh, man this takes me back. I remember sitting in the lobby waiting ages for my friends to join and not caring because I loved the music. Pretty sure I fell asleep to this many times as well 😂 spent way too much time on this game.

I actually really enjoy the gears 5 theme, the only thing you gotta remember is that is a "new era" the difference is the tone of the game. In this one the tone seems dreadful and sad but with a bit of triumph in it. In gears 5 it's alot more triumphant with less dread. I imagine by the time the 6th one rolls around we'll hear a dreadful theme again

Nope, its not, Gears 5 is the best Gears of war since Gears 2

This gears of war is hands down the best. Gears of war 2 made great memories. And is a classic. But gears 3 was aggressive, badass, badass skins, characters, it was just amazing. No microtransactions other than special characters and DLC. Fabulous game needs a remaster with all content the same no fucking battlepass.

Hell, the music really fits the depressing feel of the campaign. Its just amazing.

So many memories with this game. Listening to it on my break at work and honestly, i’d do anything for just 1 more day.

After this Gears died. After 2013, gaming died. Gaming industry is a bubble though so we'll get back to these times once it bursts.

Oh god the amount of all nighters my 2 best freinds and i spent playing gears 3 together is just wild. This theme makes me so Nostalgic its sad. Hope E-Day is what ive wanted 4 and 5 to be and that then i can make new memories with this amazing franchise legit balled my eyes out when dom died. Still gives me a heart throb every time i replay that campaign.

the amount of love i have for this franchise man. i can't put it into words. it's just such an amazing franchise. any gears fan will know how i feel. it's a bit of a shame how it turned out. but at the same time it's amazing. out of all of them/ [gameplay wise] gears 5 is the best. storys amazing too. gears of war 1,2 and 3 have the best main menus out of any game. for anyone who hasn't bought or played gears 5 i strongly recommend it. best game of 2018-2019 by far.

If I had it my way, I’d probably tone down the movement speed, replace Overwatch-style ultimates with a different mechanic entirely, but change nothing else. Vault knifing, melee combos, flashbangs, custom fortification placements, the UIR getting more love in the lore, the SHEER amount of characters and skins to choose from… Going back to Gears 3 would be euphoric, but I can’t deny I’d be missing a lot of these things listed above.

This theme will give me chills for the rest of my life every time I hear it the hairs on my arms go up for some reason 🌹❤️🌹

Gears 3 is my absolute favorite gears. but nothing will ever match gears 2´s menu and music. the burning city with the cog skull twitching behind it.

This game started my Highschool life. The summer between that last year of middle school and Highschool. My dad got me all the day one skins and characters. And it was one of my first online games. This game and theme will hold a special place in my heart forever.

Man I miss these days! The multiplayer in this game is absolutely legendary, maybe the best I’ve played all time.

Dad brought home gears of war 2 home one day,I got scare as heck. This was when I was young though 😂 then I started to play and got into it. Then I realized that there was nothing to be scared of

This kind of themes really shows the evolution of Gears Of War *Gears Of War* : Creepy like a horror game *Gears Of War 2* : Epic War Hero music *Gears Of War 3* : Every hope is lose, now *survive at all cost* I miss the old Mad World days....

Xaq from three years later here. Bit more of a Gears 5 shill now, but no cap, I still stand by this. One of the few things I fervently despise about the newer games is juuust how forgettable the OSTs are. Gears 6 better step things up, cuz the fact that I can vividly remember most combat tracks in 1-3, but none of the ones from 4 and 5 cannot be due to nostalgia. Something’s really amiss there.

The day my dad and I went to GameStop to buy this, then finally playing it was so memorable that I still get a rush of joy hearing 2:15, with the omen emerging and that iconic glow resonating Bloody masterpiece, too bad the rights are in Microsoft's hands and since they don't know how to make the violence we all knew and liked, they just don't feel the same anymore, not with all the pretty colors and sloppily paced writing and campaign plot
