Allow me to thank you so much, I have searched a lot and studied a lot books, sites, notes... but I never understand like I did with your video . amazing what you did in just 10 mins while I spent hours try to make sense of what I'm learning. thank you sir.

Thanks for video but the last example gives the impresion that a speed increasing drive is simply a speed decreasing drive in reverse, its not. There are factors such as: 1. The length of the lines of access and recess along tje line of action which are coupled to lubrication characteristics. So called, non-standard gear geometry needs to be considered. 2. Gears have a natural frequency which needs to be considered compared to their operating speed. This is more critical in speed increasing drives. 3. Vibration, as above, this factor also plays a bigger part. Analysis os needed to ensure that the gear train's operating speed is not in line with its natural frequency.

My professor is a shit, he only teach us how to use the formula to calculate without diagram. And let me super confused which letter means which item. And for the letter which is huge different with the textbook .Like he said Pd means diamtral pitch and Dp means diameter of pinion. Damn always cannot distinguish them with out diagram. Thanks for your video to save my final exam.
