I like the extra set of wheels, ice scratchers are a must. Most of this winter here we ran on bare ice or very little snow. I ran 2 sets of scratchers a set of cables where you added the wheels and a set of skidoo scratchers on the front of the slide rail. I sure hope we get normal amount of snow next year. I’m going to look into adding a set of wheels to my expedition.

Brp sells them as a complete kit. Only took me 20 mins to install. Not a lot to it.

Looks like you’re all set up for next year. It seems ice scratchers are now a necessity. Never needed them before.

Very very seldom did we ever need them here. I had the same set of slides on other machines for up to four years. I got 1000 kms on these and had to change them. Hard crust conditions every day.

Chuck, those are awesome scrathers .My wife has them on her 2017 Skidoo,23,000kms,tips can be changed as well.Worth the money sir.Alot of people also put cable scratchers on the a arms in addition. That's my plan for next year, have 2 sets on each sled of ours

Yes my son has them in his A arms. Of course I can’t put them on mine as the skandic doesn’t have them. But I must say it’s promising this far. Couldn’t smell the slides and they didn’t wear in the least after two days on the crust.

@@ChuckPorterEverythingOutdoors You know haven't had to replace slides on a skidoo yet, I don't drive fast enough 1 thing and the extra bogie wheels are really helping. I put set inside on mine first when I got it and when snow got really wet used to clog.

The brand name is “Pelican”. The ones I have are 96” in length. Several stores sell them here in Labrador. They have them on Amazon on this link, however, I only paid $400 for my two. www.amazon.ca/dp/B07ZCH89V1/?tag=chuckporterev-20

What's the benefit of the extral set of idler wheels?

  • @ChuckPorterEverythingOutdoors

Less pressure on the slide right there in that tricky area that usually wears first. The idler wheels will take the pressure away from the slide
