Confirmed this works. Fixed the jerky take off on my wife’s 07 Yaris. It also would not creep forward when in Drive and now it does. Was really simple to follow the steps and only took 10 minutes from start to finish. Took it for a test drive straight after and the improvement and smoothness of the gear changes was immediately noticeable and the jerkiness was gone. In learning mode it cycles through all the gears on its own and you don’t need to do anything except follow the on screen instructions from techstream. Thanks yuri

I have the same issue with the jerky take off. Sometimes engine allmost shuts down when taking of.. creeps forward too slowly i think (not enough idle it seems). So u did this without actually replacing any parts and it fixed the take off and creeping?

Hi Yuri. I have a Toyota Auris Valvematic Tr Mm Hatchback 1.6 Semi A. Two months after i bought it, i couldn't started the car. After few manoeuvres which means moving the gear stick up and down, i managed to start the car. It happened several times since then but Toyota garage said the computer of the car forget that the car is in neutral and is nothibg that they can do. Any advise? Thank you

Hello, I can see that you are very good with the Toyota MMT gearbox, I have one question. I have Toyota Auris 2007 1.6 gasoline with an MMT gearbox. What happened two days ago is that I started to drive and suddenly fell out of gear, so I stopped in the street and the car couldn't go when I add Gas nothing happened although the engine was working. I noticed a check engine lamp and some lamp that looks like the red sun. I restarted the engine twice and still nothing, at board showed that I am in neutral although I put the car in drive or reverse, every time he was showing me blink neutral, so I turned it off and I was waiting maybe 5-10 minutes with off engine and that I tried again and this time everything goes well as usual, no check engine and the car could go, the gearbox was working. For now, the car is working as usual. But this is the second time that this happened, once it was before 4 months, it was everything the same as now and then I went to the mechanic he said that he did something but as you can see this happened again. So do you know maybe what is the problem, and also do you maybe know some good services in Serbia or somewhere in the Balkan that you know that they are really good with MMT? Thank you in advance.

2008 auris mmt 1.6 goes into neutral whist driving (flashing N) then I have to turn off ignition for 10 seconds then start car then everything back to normal.. until it happens again of course.. any smililar experience or ideas as to what it is? It would be most appreciated.

@@xyz212123456 I drove another car for a few weeks the Toyota was just parked up, then I came back to the auris started straight away, been a few weeks now havent had the issue yet no a single one, and have been using quit quite heavy so basically, by leaving it alone for a month or so seemed to resolve the problem.

I have the same problem, I bought it used a week ago. I checked it at a car mechanic, he didn't find a problem, I also took it for a drive and everything was ok, the car had low mileage and was reasonable price so I bought it because I need it to commute. I got the neutral sign one day after buying it for the first time, it's been happening regularly ever since, the mechanic can't find the cause although he ran a diagnostic check, he told me he made an adaptation to the gearbox that might help but the problem is still not solved, apparently the previous owner sold it because of it. A car that will fail out of nowhere like this is not a car, plus it's extremely dangerous and unreliable to use it.

@@xyz212123456 drive in sports mode, the es button by shift stick, it will drink abit more, but it shouldnt jump into N. If that's no good try manual behind steering or use the stick shift up and down.. dont worry about down it does is automatically.. try if you get stuck.

@@user-it1el3mn9s Re-learning the clutch with the toyota techstream software helped for a while but it allways came back. I sold my mmt corolla and bought exactly same card but manual, and have noticed that it also does the same sometimes when its cold outside, so its just the way the clutch works in this car when the clutch is cold i guess..

@@user-it1el3mn9s I think its the clutch actuator motor that is going bad.. Its the "motor" that is handling the clutch.. its known failure point of there MMT corollas..

Please i have a yaris 2010 with mmt and one-time change the clutch actuator ( is with DOT4 liquid) some times work special but sometimes flash the N in dashboard and no move! Can you help me? Thanks

Hi. Need your on my gearbox. Changed the gear actuator and it change gear. When driving the car and it get hot the gear goes on to neutral and it would not select any gear. Have to wait for it to cool down before i can drive again. I would appreciate it if you could assist me with the problem

I changed the clutch, I didnt beleive the mechanic I thought he was just saying it to get business, however I took leap of faith. It was most certainly the clutch replacement fixed the problem. Btw there are two types of clutches a manual and automation both look identity and both will work, the manual one will give you the flashing 'n' problem.

I've done it after clutch disk replacement. Worked fine. Then it turned out that the actuator is bad as well. Replaced it and now I can see it works. But after gearbox learning. It didn't try changing gears at the end. And now I have no N on the dash. And accelerator pedal doesn't work. Tried learning few times. But no change. Anyone has any ideas ?

@@TheNerby90 vak_service advised that the Chinese knock off selector won't work. Needs to be new OEM or he can refurbish the old one. But we never sent it. Car is still parked up broken.

There are 3 possible causes, 1. The clutch 2. The actuator. 3 the gear selector module. 95% of the time it's the clutch. Although the clutch seems fine the pressure it puts on the actuator causes the actuator to refuse the gear change and then computer flashes 'n' refusing to go into gear.
