Truth is I personally don't need half the features on these machines. Now if I were to choose, I would choose G.E. for the anti-microbial technology.

got the ge650 washer for $594 recently including delivery. I got it from GE direct. I think they are going to stop making the 650s is why it was on clearance. Also got the GE 85 matching dryer for $447 including delivery on clearance. I had a still perfectly functioning 17 year old front loader LG washer and dryer with zero repair history but I couldn't pass up the deal on the new GE set and I know the LG's weren't going to last too much longer. I do enjoy the phone alerts when the cycles are complete. I also get another $75 off the mentioned prices from a local utility rebate

Bought the GE 850 for both the Microban and reversible door. The only downside is it's quite deep.

On another video in the comments section there was a lady that said she lived on a farm and absolutely hated FL washers. She said they can't clean real dirt...only for people who work in an office. I'm thinking, HUH??? I've washed some really nasty stuff in my Duet FL washer over the years that got just as if not more clean than the old TL agitator washer I had.

I bought the tower about a month ago. So far I like it. I had previously had LG for 15 years. The only thing I hated about them is you have to drain them regularly.

Recently got the lg 5500 set, baffled that the 6500 is $100 more yet apparently is the exact same machine with a simple name change, all specs exactly the same, weight, size, shipping weight, and all features, sure looks the exact same to me, I could be wrong , anyway, so far so good, my phone telling me The wash or dry is done is cool, starting a load while at work to finish when I get home is a time saver, the steam in the dryer for a quick refresh of clothes or towels very handy, and saves water and energy, yet over all, it was lgs reliably that got me, if I had more money to spend a simple speed queen would have been my choice, again due to reliability, that said, the additional features with lg are more than just gimmicks, happy so far, they look sleek, and modern, I added a 5 year extension to the warranty on both, so I shall at minimum get 5 years and not have to work on them myself. And hopefully many more years out of the set after that? We shall see.

I believe he is mistaken on the GE washer having a fan. At least for the 650 and lower models. It just runs the drum motor on and off to dry out the gasket. Does the 850 actually have an air circulation fan for the overnight drying feature?

Watching videos online people have posted of their GE or LG washers in action, the different cycles... I'd choose the LG with turbo wash in a heartbeat. I noticed the LG has lower water levels for washing...but higher water level for rinsing...the GE (from what I can tell) uses the same for wash/rinse (this is just based on eyeballing what I've seen online) I can't state that as fact. I've had a FL washer since 2005..no mold...I do think the auto dose is great because a lot of people use way too much or too little which can wreck the machine over time.

I think you’re right. I believe LG uses less water in the wash portion because less water = more concentrated detergents = better cleaning and stain removal, then give a thorough and generous rinse with plenty of water and wash motions + a final spray rinse

I have only had my Samsung machine 1 day and I hate it. It does not get the soap out. I can feel it on the clothes compared to my machine that just died that i had for 17 yrs. It also does not spin the clothes dry enough compared to my old machine. The machine does not have a light so the drum is dark.

I know this is off-topic, but can you review speed queen front load washers at some point? I just bought one and I'm very impressed. I have had many front loaders over the years, and this one does the best job of spinning no matter what. 10 pairs of jeans or 1 comforter doesn't matter. I know it doesn't have wifi but curious how it compares elsewhere? I love your channel BTW

It’s more than $2 K almost 3 k but it’s discounted $498 for GE & 1K for LG. Please let me know. Home Depot has warranty. So I am sure they will fix it.

The speed queen repair rate , is well known to be an order of magnitude less that anything currently available, Not sure what data you are looking at, but it’s wrong. As any repair tech, they will tell you exactly the same. Other points you made are valid, low capacity, less efficient, and less features, and a higher price, but that is due to speed queens reliability. What you stated about reliability here is absolutely false. And you know it. @@YaleAppliance1

I’m looking and have narrowed it down to GE & LG. I’m leaning towards GE due to the Ultrafresh and auto dispenser since this is going to be in a laundry closet that is in a hallway. I don’t think it would work having g the door open after each wash when it comes to the lg.
