I feel like they come up with something new and don't test it long enough. But they still sell it, make us pay for something that supposedly works ,then we call a year later when we cannot return it, with the issues we encountered and that's how they test it but with the money already in their pockets.

This washer is the bane of my existence. I can’t even washer a single shirt without it banging and bouncing all over the place.

These waher, you have to spread on the side and leave the middle part empty. It will sense the first hit that the middle part is empty that all sides are equal. I have owned one over 9 years, and i have no issues with it.

We bought a washer very similar to this and I have to say I kind of hate it. Clothes keep coming out with white streaks that I initially thought were detergent residue (even though we are using HE detergent) but it almost looks like wet lint or fluff. I have no idea where it comes from but we can't get rid of it. Today was worse. We had some sheets that came out looking like they had mud or wet sand. Again, I have no idea where it comes from, but we are continually washing and re-washing stuff. It's only a few months old but I can't wait to get rid of it.

I just got min 5 months ago and it's acting crazy already!

I've had mine 8 years now and it did the exact same thing and the other day the base completely snapped apart while it was spinning.. gotta put it on the curb and I'm going old school washer. I didn't like the fact that it didn't fill with water, also certainly settings stopped working

I just got the same one and not even a month and already does that when spinning It randomly turns off by itself

I just ordered one. My whirlpool lasted 2yrs and the maytag that replaced it lasted 1 week. So no more whirlpool products for me. Hopefully this one lasts.. .

I've had this washer for less than 2 years now and hate it with a passion. Every day it's a pain to deal with. Today I literally came back to check on my clothes and found it almost in the middle of the room and My clothes were so knotted together I had to have my husband come help me untangle them to get them out.

I have the exact same washer. Bought it from Conn's. Haven't had a full 4 years, and it started making a loud noise for a few months. It constantly moves when washing sounds like it's going to blow at any moment. Now the stupid thing won't spin, and the agitator doesn't move....total piece of crap👎🏾

I've had to adjust this balance issue so often that the The lid lock is now broken and it won't run at all. Going back to Maytag.

I see I’m not the only one who hates this washer. My load has to be perfecty balanced before the spin. Which means I have to readjust every time. Sometimes several times until I get it right. Hate GE washers.

Mine just bought a HE and it’s like that now, even though I have adjust clothes, same and not even wash proper the clothes😢

As a technician myself chances are its user error and not loaded properly. For example if there is one towel in there it needs something else of equal weight on the other side to balance properly. If there is 1 heavy item such as a towel issues balancing will happen. Too bad he didn’t show what he had loaded inside. If that’s not that case it needs new springs. All new toploads will have this same issue and all have the same style springs. Except speedqueen

How do you get the bottom out? I found a silk pillowcase that I pulled out from the bottom and think more clothes might be in there

IT looks different than the LG Top load washer And The dryer as well

Newer machines may also work better too with more energy efficiency, fabric gentleness, convenience, better wash systems, reinforced and smart balancing systems like GE dynamic balancing technology

To me is the worst washer clothes dripping the water at the end of the wash

What was the problem?

Is there supposed to be a hole in the draining hose that hangs over the sink..I just noticed a small hole in it because when it started to drain water shot out of the hole..and it's not agitating like before it sounds like it rust or something under there..please any info will help..I think some put that hole in my hose.( and I think I know who)

I’ve had the worst luck with this washing machine. For three months, I bailed it out (20 buckets) and had to hand wring out my clothes. I’ve had numerous things replaced by a friend who is a repair man, but I think I have a piece of crap, I will never buy another GE.

I work on those all the time. Im not a big fan of the 680 and 685 models (one their electric boards all over, two ive had more complaints about out of balance with those models) best GE washer models are GTW220 ACK AND GTW330. have the old school design with old school basic diagnosing

I was looking at one of these at the best buy, it a brand new model so they just got it in, and the big silver dial comes off in my hand! I fumble around with it trying to get it back on and next thing I know there comes and employee and she's asking if I need help. I luckily get it back on and then she walks away. It comes off again. There comes the employee back again and shes calling someone on her little headset thing. I stick it on there as best I can and leave the store. I am a 46 year old woman and was about to be kicked out of the best buy due to the poor quality of this machine. I have never saw anything like it! I've owned several washing machines and have never had parts break off in my hands!

Anyone have it rip holes in every single piece of clothing in the load yet?

One service guy said after you start it to hold on to the deep fill button till u hear the beep. I usually do it after it starts filling up.

Don’t use normal wash as it’s automatically going to discount it as that’s the eco cycle by default. Pick a different cycle

This is the biggest piece of shit they've ever made😂 always sensing , unpropper draining, and now leaking..and it's only 3 years old

Wash a lot of jeans for some reason the opposite of what makes sense calms it down. Light load guaranteed it’s on walkabout. 6 + pairs of jeans and way more weight than I’d recommend … pretty tame with an occasional trip from its home. Bulky items it is. Probably a engineering defect not enough weight close to its anchor point la on the floor and too much up high. Washes well but 3 years I haven’t found a good way to eliminate it since purchase 🤷🏻‍♂️

I just got this washer yesterday and I regret ! It won’t lock , spin , or drain .

I have the GE Deep Fill new for one year,. And it's making a grinding sound pluss won't spin

Shouldn't be moving like that... it may not properly leveled. Also some loads end up all on one side like when washing some towels with lighter clothes... Check those things first. Good luck

No agitator models are garbage. This one in particular - loud, loads out of balance, never wnough water... horrible design. Fire the people that said this is good.

I don't recommend getting this washer if the washer doesn't detect an off balance load.

I have the same washer and it did this after a few month and it needed a software update and it has been fine since.

I don't remember the steps because someone from the company walked me through it over the phone, but I needed my laptop and a USB cable.

I had 2 days told them to come and get it. Something is definitely wrong with the design of this washer.

You havto put the clothes around the drum losly, and still see the proppeller, you can't just throw them in. I have this mashin, no proble.

sounds silly but check that no spin option isnt selected or the clothes are uneven or too heavy

If you think thats bad get an Estate ETW super capacity washer

The worst ill never buy another ge i had the same washer that use to walk i called complained they gave me anlemon to replace had nothing but problems

Check to make sure your floor is level.. then make sure your washer is also level.. also make sure the weight of the load is as even as possible. (Blankets, multiple towels or jeans are not all in one area)

Yes the floor and washer is level... and I carefully distribute the clothes (light to medium load) to an even layer, the spin cycle is still horibble!

@@elaineli1300 is your floor slick. If so try putting a cheap rug or chunk of carpet under it... If that doesn't help, then it may be that the belt that turns the drum may be wore out/defective..

Mine has only been used like 50 times and will not spin towels or jeans at all total junk

You need new shocks

Mine does the exact same thing we just checked for levelling and it’s all good so I’m at a lost for what to do.

Check if your tub is lose remove your agitator and it has a nut on bottom check if it’s lose

This is why Americans are buying Chinese .

This washer is so shit it stops spinning on me three times in only two years before that I had a old washer that lasted me 15 years before ot had any issues

Thanks, Marco. I did what you suggested and found a heavy metal piece about the size of a pie plate has been ground down to nothing. I’m not sure it’s fixable, but at least I know what’s wrong. More research is required. Thanks for taking the time to comment … twice!😅

I just ordered it. It's replacing a whirlpool that barely made 2 yrs. It looks like a nice washer. A lot people have had good luck with it. I bought an extended warranty for coverage

If its consistently doing that its 1 of 2 problems its either the suspension rods are bad or the bearings went out Your Welcome Huffs Appliance
