The very detailed explanations at every single step make the job of taking apart this gas dryer, and re-assembling it, a relatively simple procedure. Not hard at all. Many THANKS !!

I have that exact same dryer and the exact same problem. The noise won't happen right away, as it'll start after 5-7 minutes of starting the dryer. The "thumping" noise doesn't happen with every load, but when it does it is super loud. I will give this a try. Thank you!

@@tinawoodell1957 mine didn't get hot. It was just the knocking, which I suspect was from a little piece of compacted lint. Somehow it just stopped right before I finally got tired of the noise. I had recently had a baby, so I totally forgot to call a repairman. When the mommy fog lifted, I was up and ready to call. That's when I noticed the noise was gone, Lol. If it's hot, I would highly recommend calling someone to fix it. I think if it's hot and you don't get it addressed, you might end up damaging more components in your dryer. Not to mention, it's a safety hazard. But that's my unprofessional opinion. Hope everything works out for you!
