Thank you for sharing this video, came in handy. How do we know what humidity level to adjust it to?

You're welcome! I usually just keep it on the lowest level and it runs continuously but I have kine in the basement so I just want it as dry as possible down there. If you're running it upstairs and don't want the air getting too dry you can increase. Mines just always runs continuously at the lowest setting. Thanks for watching and for the comment! Have a great day!

Love the vid! I bought this last summer and it's worked SO well. When I first got it I was using the pump and hose right out of the gate. A few months into it I wanted to move the unit so stopped using the pump and just emptied out the bucket. This year I just put it out and plugged in the hose, made sure the bucket was empty, and turned on the pump. The pump started running continuously and you can hear it trying to suck up air. After about 30 minutes the unit shut off with a P1 error code "pump continuously running". Went back to no pump or hose and just bucket and it's working fine. But I can't seem to find ANYTHING online as to what the hell is going on with the pump suddenly. Have you run into this?

I haven't ran into this problem specifically but might be able to help troubleshoot. Is the error code always on? If so try just unplugging it for a few minutes and plug back in to see if it resets. Also try holding in the pump button for a few seconds to see if that resets it. Let me know how you end up making out and if you find a solution. Thanks for the comment and for watching, have a great day!

Seems to be a common issue with these. I haven't had this issue since I've never used the pump and always just emptied the bucket. I'll do some digging and see if I can find anything out. I'll keep you posted if I come across anything that may help! Thanks for watching and for the comment, have a great day and let me know if you find anything out! Thanks!

    What do smart dry do

The smart dry feature will automatically adjust the fan speed based on the humidity in the room. Hopefully that helps! Thanks for watching and for the comment. Have a great day!

Hey guys! Let me know what you think of this dehumidifier and if you own it how you're liking it! My previous one like this stopped working after a few years so even though I think they should last longer than a couple years I bought a similar one just because of how well it works. If you have any questions please reach out here and I'll get back to you ASAP. I couldn't find this exact model to include a link to buy but found one very similar that GE makes. I need to know how to set it to drain with a garden hose, and NOT the pump feature. I have a garden hose attached, but the bucket fills up and shuts down, doesn't drain out the hose.

@Selectorsoulshot I just read the manual about this since I have never tried emptying with a garden hose and it seems like you're doing everything right. Once you have a garden hose attached the water should be diverted to that and the bucket shouldn't fill up. I'll have to get some hose and try it and see if mine works. I'll let you know!

@@fixanythingsavemoney I was able to get it to work, after disconnecting hose and running some hot water through it. After reattaching it, it seems to be draining out the hose and not filling up the bucket anymore. Thanks for the reply!
