C&C3 was very easy. Impossible to win again brutal scrin with this kind if strategy with Kane wrath

awesome game dude, thanks for sharing. i was wondering if you could go over some of your hot keys and or general strategies for GDI. I used to play this as a kid and im just getting back into it. ive learned a lot from watching your videos the past couple of days. thank you for sharing them

Thanks for checking out the videos; glad you've been enjoying them! I mostly use the standard hotkeys, with a few adjustments. E, R, T, Y all work quite well, as do the number keys. Take a look at the keys in the settings and test them out in game (try to only use the mouse to pan, select groups of units, or select targets). As far as general strategies, thankfully, CnC3:TW is one of the easier CnC games. Even against brutal AI, there is some room for error. That being said, it's still a real challenge, and it will typically take many attempts on the same map to win (almost all of these videos came after several attempts). One key thing to keep in mind against the AI is to be aggressive early -- take a focal point on the map early, or see if you can sneak close to it's base and set up shop early on. You will pretty much always need 2 or 3 bases (a "main" base and subsequent frontline bases). However, sometimes your main base will become your frontline base, or be moved to another position all together. Don't be afraid to pack up your main base and move. One other thing I like to do is stick to smaller ground units. They're cheap and efficient (you'll notice this in every video). I'm always making rifle & missile squads and predator tanks. I don't spend the time/money/power to build more advanced structures. I always build an armory though to buff my squads. You need to constantly pump out units to defend your bases (turtling AFTER you've taken an aggressive frontline position is typically effective). You also need to constantly build base defenses -- usually, watch towers are effective, because your missile squads will take out vehicles and aerial units. In order to do this, you need constant funds coming in and to constantly keep your power up. Prioritize those few things, always. Then, when you're ready to move to grab a new tiberium field, or take over the enemy's, shift to a steamroller strategy and send a huge army there with your harvesters/surveyor. Rinse and repeat at that point, unless you've already got a big army. At that point, just go for it. Kill enemy base defenses, power plants, and refineries first.

The thing thats killing me now against NOD is i keep getting nuked before i have time to build up a big enough army to make a massive attack. i have also been looking for a good source of strategy information online and being that this game is really old its been difficult. thats another reason im very thankful i found your videos! thanks dude

@@christhepolymath3466 Your videos have been a great help. Setting up forward bases is a nice double whammy of setting yourself up for cash and depriving your enemy of it. Where I fell short somewhat at first is that I'd set up too many refineries straight away. Now I've switched to defences first then additional refineries(bar the first 2 or so). Fine line to thread though which requires some knowledge of the map and keeping an eye on your finances.

Well there's beating a dead horse and there's blasting a dead tripod. I always tried to capture them and use them against the opponent. Fun vid though.
