    great video again👌🏽 thank you for sharing these valuable information i have a question about the process do you think they will prioritize dentists who have already started the ore process? i was just curious whether to send my documents for gdc now or wait till they officially anounce the provisional registration route?

    Hey thanks for getting in touch. For now they're being so quiet about the intricate details that I would be shooting in the dark if I suggested what would be a better idea. However, it would be wise to start registration with the GDC as that usually takes some time and can be problematic. People have told me that they find fault with documents a lot of the time so it's better to at least get the registration done, then there's no real rush to immediately apply for ORE. My advice is to just register and go through the process, hopefully by the time you're all set up, the provisional license route will be ready :)

    @@MagaliEsquivel-uk4pv Hi there, typically it takes 2-3 years because of the backlog of people trying to take the exam, and that's all assuming you pass first time. It's getting better as they are slowly adding more seats to allow more people to sit the exam. But at the end of the day, it is worth it as Dentistry in the UK is a great career choice

    Hi sir can you suggest me what should I choose as a final year student ORE or provisional license...As a fresh graduate I will not be as good clinically as a general practitioner who has experience.. should I still go for ORE

  • @the_stu_DENT

    @the_stu_DENT

    28 күн бұрын

    Definitely ORE as the exam is based on what you did at uni so it will be very fresh in your mind :) also with the provisional license, it is a way to make salary also so it might not need you to have great amounts of clinical experience. Both will be good options

    Thank you for the information, it really motivates me to gather more information about how to practice in the UK for overseas dentists. I had been graduated from a residential prosthodontics program 3 years ago in Indonesia. If I try to practice in England with provisional registration, can I use my specialistic degree or I have to start again as general practice? Thank you 😊

  • @the_stu_DENT

    @the_stu_DENT

    Hey there. You'd have to likely start again as overseas qualifications are not usually accepted in the UK. If you're a pro at prostho, wherever you work will likely give you lots of prostho work so you'll be like an unofficial specialist and make lots of money through this route. Remember, the provisional license will allow you to practice temporarily with the condition to still do the ORE. Best of luck and thank you for your kind words

    So who is gonna be recruiting the people coming thru the provisional license pathway? Is it gonna be any dentist that is permanently registered with the GDC or would there be like a certain criteria that only dentist with a particular years of experience will be allowed to recruit people thru the provisional license route? And also will the people be recruited into the NHS only or the private practice too?

  • @the_stu_DENT

    @the_stu_DENT

    Hey there, great question and when the GDC release their guidelines on recruitment, I'll do an update. As for now when dentists have their first year of work in the UK, they need to do approximately one year with a mentor, like a foundation year. So I would assume it would follow the same kind of journey and you'd be able to do private+NHS if that's the case. As for who can recruit, I'm assuming it needs to be from dentists with a certain number of years and regulated by their regions
