GCSE Biology - Monoclonal Antibodies #40
In this video, we cover the following:
- What a monoclonal antibody is
- What 'B-cells' (or 'B-lymphocytes') are
- How antigens stimulate the production of antibodies
- How we combine B-cells and Tumor cells to produce Hybridomas
- Examples of some of the other uses for monoclonal antibodies
Пікірлер: 100
1. inject mouse with antigen of antibody we want to bind to 2. mouse produces b-lymphocytes, specific to that antigen 3. combine those lymphocytes with malignant cells 4. which makes a hybridoma, which is cloned to make many monoconal antibodies
