Am I the only one baffled how little I see other Zoey mains? This character is cracked in nuetral and has amazing setplay. Dragon bullys everyone so hard. Lightning in the corner traps people in place and you can repeat it and have a safe jump set up.

I think setplay makes other shy away from her. Although the best thing about zooey is her dustloop tbh

What is the safe jump? I usually use the lighting to get a free 66L on block and if I hit 214H then I combo the lighting on their wakeup into a high low mixup with the auto combos. I haven't seen anything safe jump related, but it could be useful!

@@Rossman24 It isn't a technical Safe jump per se but this video explains it. I am not good enough at the timing yet but this video has brought me most of my success thus far.

The fact that Metera has an easily accessible half health combo in the corner and Zooey doesn't makes no sense to me

Anything that needs butterfly setup is fair game, same if Zoey hit you with ex lighting.

@@Lulumemes. I feel like EX lightning is harder to set up since you needed a hit beforehand to set them up. There's not too much stopping Metera from using butterflies in neutral or corner. Not saying she shouldn't have that damage, just weird that it's so hard for Zooey to get much damage from interactions unless she guesses perfectly every time in a game where everyone has several DPs.

@@SilverGold961 they both need knockdowns to get full utilization of their set up ex setup attacks. In both cases a projectile can stop them from doing it in neutral and spot dodging /rolling does wonders for avoiding butterflies In neutral.

@@Lulumemes. Sure but you can absolutely use butterflies in neutral as an added layer of mix. Even if you force Metera to block, they don't go away. Zooey's lightning does and only the ex air version is decent in neutral (it's matchup specific how useful it is). Plus she doesn't get much from it if it hits a grounded opponent. My main point is I wish Zooey had more damage overall and didn't have to work so hard at every stage of the game. I do agree they both need hard knockdowns to be really effective.

@@SilverGold961 we are at a difference of perspective at this point, I think that Metera has to work much harder to get her damage and you think the same for zooey. Don't know what to tell ya
