In my opinion the judges decided in the 4th and 5th place to put those loopers because then everyone can have a chance to win (at least the wildcard), but in general it was done to balance the battles and so that the judges have less effort, during the competition, to be able to choose a winner without thinking too much.💪💪👍👍

Maybe for the future its a good idea to do separate events for beatbox and loop/producer. I feel like the overlap of who likes what is not that big anyway and then there can be more real beatbox at the gbb and more non beatbox stuff at the other event.

i see what you're getting at, but i'm pretty sure having a separate event just loses attention for both loops have been a long part of GBB now, and producer is slowly being engraved as a new section diverting attention into separate events kinda loses the point of why it's part of one event in the first place

would’ve made sense to keep loops around if they kept it focused on vocal looping, nowadays it’s not beatbox related. Also someone competing in beatbox and loop categories is rare so having a separate event wouldn’t really affect that many people.
