@@joshuam.p7 After WW2, jews fled europe and palestinians took some of them in, then with the help of britain and the balfour declaration, they declared that this land which already belonged to the palestinians now is called 'Israel' and belongs to the jews. In 1948 they started the 'nakba', using britains military support to steal palestinian homes and drive them away. Over the decades little by little their land and homes were stolen while the palestinians were forced to flee to smaller and smaller ghettos. Whats left was gaza. A very small strip of land thyat served as their prison. Every suare inch in gaza is monitored by israel. The palestinians living there have no rights, they live under apartheid conditions. Israel is the reason hamas exists. Israel is a european occupying force. its a colony of the west. the only reason the west supports them is because it serves as their base of operations to pillage the middle east of their resources.

I am Palestinian, and the first time I heard this song about 20 years ago as a soundtrack to the Japanese anime series Samurai Champloo that came out in 2004. That was a very hard time for Palestine when they have destroyed the West Bank(My city included). Even though I never understood the lyrics at the time, I cried my eyes out, and it felt super relatable. Seeing this video today, even though it came out 8 years ago, it's as if I went back in time, only the suffering is today.
