I'm straight but was that kid that was bullied by being called gay. From 10 years old until my early 20's that followed me everywhere. I don't believe to know that your struggle was like. But I know it was hell for a straight man let alone an actual homosexual person. Mad respect to you for this! Thank you from Canada.
This was so beautiful to see a man talk his heart. Wishing you all the love in the world. From India.
I admire your courage so much. Indeed a big guy with a big heart and we love u for that. Keep inspiring many people as we always look up onto you as our friend, brother and idol.
I can really understand the struggling with guys not wanting to date thing. I had this conversation the other day with a straight friend of mine about how in the gay world if you're a niche (I'm mixed race), then it's hard to navigate those who like you for you and those that fetishize you and just see you as a check box almost. It's hard in a community that is so into labels and pigeon holing everything and everyone, but you are such a lovely, positive, genuine and driven man, you'll definitely have a world of happiness awaiting in your future. Keep up the amazing work. X

Thank you for reaching out to help others. As you said, we all have our own stories. No matter where we are and what we do, our individual story is special and valuable. We can all help others. Wishing you all the best. Hugs.
Awesome! Im a physician, who happens to be gay. Ive seen so many young gay lives destroyed as a result of drug abuse. The incidence of drug abuse & suicide among gay youth is high. Your voice educating young gay kids would be so helpful. Kudos to you man.
Wow... such an inspirational story! Thank you for sharing Chris xx

I appreciate you sharing your story. It gives insight into what we all go through when we coming out. You are tight we all have different stories, some worse than others but nonetheless your story is yours and I know it will helps other come out and come to turns with themselves. Here in the US, Massachusetts specifically, as free as we are, being the first US state to have gay marriage we still have those who fear coming out because of how they perceive that their life will change drastically. Some believe people will leave then and hate them and some are in confusion because they dont know, but you took a leap and the outcome for you was great. Not that it will happen to everyone but people will think about coming out once they see your story. Keep inspiring people, keep being yourself, you are, to me is when I first came out,a bear in the truest sense of self. And the Bears in the US could learn a few things from you. Thank you for creating Bear Strong, thank you for all the mental help you show us and talk to us about, thank you for uplifting us, and thank you most of all for being WHO YOU ARE WITHOUT SHAME!!!!
I love strongman competitions. As he said in the video, it's a really friendly, attitude-free community. I recently had the pleasure of watching Rob Kearney, another gay strongman, compete at the Albert Hall. Hopefully I'll get to see Chris McNaghten too some day.
Inspiring and very good you shared your story. Sending you much Love and Good Vibes, is important what you did and a hopeful example for many more out there. All my best.

Congratulations and huge kudos to you. Such an honest, straightforward and open discussion on your own life's circumstances past and present. No ego, no pretentions, just telling it as it is and that resonates with so many guys in difficult personal circumstances and struggling with their sexuality, but your story now is a delight to hear for so many of us in the LGBTQ community who are living normal happy lives and at peace with themselves and their wider world. You are to be applauded big guy. So much love and good wishes for your future. Bravo 👏🏻 👌🏻👍🏻
Very inspiration story, thank you Chris! Liked and subscribed! :) *big hugs*

Thanks to share your story you are such a inspiration
You’re a wonderful, intelligent, handsome, emotionally strong man and I wish you all the happiness in the world! Much love from New York! 💙
Fantastic Video, I can fully relate to what you spoke about wanting to date and eventually move onto a relationship. But for much of the community it is not on the cards, as a lot of men are not ready to settle down. Perhaps it is a hangover from my closet days, but either way i want what i want and am prepared to wait. Peace and Happiness to all.
Thank you for sharing your story!
I appreciate you for sharing your experience.
Twenty Eight, onwards to 30, life gives us what we have earnt and takes away that which we don’t need, for the changes to occur in our future. Call it an astrological cycle or a ‘Transit of Saturn’ -Saturns return to your birth time. What we’ve put into our life may or may not manifest, the way we wanted. However, 28 is a grand age to accept or reject or stay the way you were comfortable with. So absolute accolades for your courage, to face your fears and what your soul required. You have my upmost respect Chris. Seems like you have the utmost respect for relationships with others as well. It’s all learning, it always is. Blessings mate. All the best for your mission.
Thank you for this. I'm getting my bear patch and heading back to the gym after many many years of being away. Now I need to defeat my fear of the locker room, showers, etc.
Good for you. Handsome, built and clearly very intelligent and sensible. Best of luck. You seem like a lovely human being.
So much Respect for you Chris.
What would you suggest a 20yr old who hasn't come out yet, going through depression and has no one to talk to?... I always feel like I don't belong in this world
@jockstrap6179
3 жыл бұрын
Yes, you do belong in this world. You're here, aren't you?😕 Well, that's the sole criterion for belonging in the world. If anyone says otherwise, tell him: 'Bullshit!😡 You don't get to call the shots, Adolf; nature does. And nature made me gay.'
This is the definition of strong
You Sir, will help many people as they come to terms with who they are. You are a Beacon of Health and Self Acceptance! I instantly Love you as a Person and a fellow Gay Man. All my Love.

Whoever the dude was in that relationship that helped you move forward, BIG KUDOS to HIM.
Hi Chris. Is subtiltle possible? That would be great. By the way more people could listen and understand you. You are a treasure. Hugs.
I remember when I was 8 I was called that other f-word for wanting to hold a guy's hand. I grew up during the 80s in Arizona. Now I'm near 50, living in the Pacific Northwest, and am comfortable being Bi/Pan. I'm glad you're doing what you're doing.
What a cool guy, and a great story. Great accent too. :)
Thank you for your story I hope it will help people that are scared to come out that are gay . . and we all have a time and some don't COME out and that's there bissness . but I believe be HAPPY AND PROUD of who you are . . . don't be embarrassed or ashamed of Who You Are . everyone is special in there own way . I am PRO LIFE & PRO TO BE HAPPY . . and I am also gay . and it can be tuff at times and you feel lost . . there are allways people to talk to . if your struggling with things . . just like this common I'll probably be highly criticized about something I said that somebody don't agree with . You can keep your negative comments to yourself . FYI . love from the 🇺🇸 USA . .❤ .

You may not see it, may actually not agree--but it IS HELPFUL that you are a good-looking fellow. "Social beauty" has a mitigating effect even in very bad situations.
Very proud of courageous Chris. Had to watch it several times because the accent is so strong yet sexy. It's so awesome to see a manly very handsome man come out as gay and not have a purse come out of his mouth when he starts talking. There is room for all under the gay tent.....its refreshing to see a proud manly bear tell his story. The bear community has come a long way and yet it's the most misunderstood part of the GLBT family. Congratulations Chris.

I'm sorry to hear about your relationship with Jon ending. It had made me hopeful that things were progressing in the "bear community" even whilst I still encounter racism there . Thank you for sharing and opening up to the world as you seem to have a level head about you and generous heart and soul, which apart from your obvious physical stature and attractiveness, gravitate people towards you. If you ever visit London again then there's always a cuppa for you ;-l. Both Jon and yourself be well....BTW don't know anyother platform to chat with you.

19:52 I know what you mean--many (most?) men make excuses to just seek one another out to "party" and get quickie-sex. Even in approaching partnerships, the focus is on "sex-act compatibility"..."tops" seeking "bottoms", etc. On the other side are the fellows whose focus is in finding a life-partner...is ALL that they see. If they see potential in a fellow and that one is not on the same page, at the same rate, they drop him and move on to someone else. In both of the "black/white" focused, the "grey" spectrum of potential levels of friendship can get ignored and squandered. Plus, relationships shift.
Sorry so late ... but sending love out to you ... ❤ !!!
Feels better when you come out. I'm glad I came out. because hiding it only makes you feel worse.
