Okay I dont comment often but I think it genuinely has to be addressed. If you are in the same relationship with the same sex and they are constantly getting upset about you not telling your homophobic family about you coming out then it's honestly a relationship you shouldn't be in. I had an Andrew in my relationship and she would always get upset in me hiding the relationship and wanted me to just tell my parents and blame everything on me. She wanted me to tell my homophobic family I was gay at 13. Andrew was very toxic in this, and honestly, I think that anyone who is like Andrew isn't worth the time because it shows how their feelings will reach further than your safety.

Now I respect everybody's culture and traditions but that Indian tradition of arrange marriages is over. I understand only in India they do that and sometimes in America because the traditional Indian family holds on to that tradition but the modern day Indian has a lot of freedom now, especially here in the US. You don't have to be in any arranged marriage if you don't want to, you have a choice to say no, you now have the rights and freedom to marry anybody you want or choose today.

It is not a “traditional Indian thing” to have an arranged marriage. I would know, my parents have never been like that ever!!
