It's even more beautiful and romantic thinking about how he spent his time writing all those letters for the love of his life and reminded him of their memories together. This is the best feeling in the world and I'm sure he feels the same way :D

I think it's that I know the amount of planning, practicing, and thought that was for some friends of mine, the most important and terrifying moments of their lives. With some, you see it involves families and travel. An engagement and marriage means being out and public and it is often accompanied by rejection, job loss and other difficult reactions. So, it does make me feel a certain type of way when someone who doesn't know, trivializes the whole thing in the word "fake".

It's a relationship between consenting adults with no familial bonds, just like straight relationships. There's nothing unnatural or immoral about it. Quite the opposite. It's about love, companionship, mutual respect, affection, all things that make for a more moral world. Romantic and physical attraction just like the ones you might feel for women. One day if you ever get over your preconceived notions, you'll realize it. I don't mean to be condescending, and I know I won't convince you, as that will never happen over a mere youtube comment, but it is my conviction and hope that you, and other who think like you, will think differently eventually.
