@@fredericandre9034 it's like they mainstream anit-lyrical rap, and let good artists fall through. The only big name lyricist of this generation (Eminem I count as the last gen of rap) is Kendrick. There other good lyricists with some recognition such as Joynar or logic, but they're not neccisarily up there

@@ggnoobs2667 i get where you coming from, but look at it like this. Hip hop has grown into a bigger genre. Way bigger than back in the 90's. There is way more different types of music in the genre today. Which means the more "mainstream type of hip hop" is more popular than the "real" rap of course. Just like the mainstream music back then was more popular, it was just not considered hip hop. But there are a lot of respected artist who are lyricists wether you like em or not. They are big artists even though they aren't at the very top. Let me name a few legends we've had since 2010. Asap rocky #freerocky and nf, hopsin, joey badass, j cole, big sean got bars no cap. Like I could name a LOT that are very big people in the game. The genre has just grown bigger so it seems like there aren't as many lyricists.

There are several goosebump moments in this track, it's insane. This shit flying a little under the radar right now, but when one of his song pops off like crazy and the horde of humans trace back the catalog, this song will blow millions of peoples minds

I grew up listening to the best hip hop era in the 90's I can tell you that there hasn't been a best hip hop era than back then. Now with all these mumble rappers out there hip hop was going down the drain but I'm glad to see and hear rappers like these that are saving hip hop with jams like these! Good for you guys! I'm glad I listened this as a recommendation and did not regret it at all!!
