Artist Gavin Turk discusses his art practice and how he 'uses art history as a material'.
The example he uses to illustrate this is a painting completed in 2021 titled 'Kerze II' that was inspired in various ways by works by Gerhard Richter, Jacques-Louis David and perhaps by previous works that Turk had done himself.
