While I feel bad for Gavin, this was probably one of the funniest moments in the series

Dont feel bad, he has stated in an Off Topic that the whole point of the room was to be found and for it to be a funny moment in a lets play, which it absolutely was. It turns out that a lot of the "bad" decisions Gav made in the early lets plays that subsequently became funny moments were staged by him, for a lack of a better word. Everyone rags on Gavin for being a moron, but I genuinely think he is one of if not the smartest people in achievement hunter. He was willing to actively damage his reputation in the early years to produce amazing content, and it 100% paid off.

He likes events to happen and things to go wrong because that’s what made the videos interesting. I think Gavin is a lot smarter than people realise and he is very aware of what people want to watch I think. He has had multiple succes with KZread I think he’s extremely aware

He always played dumb but was always doing something behind the scenes of everyone and made everything interesting. He was very calculated and was a large part of what made achievement hunter what it was. He was smart to play stupid. Gavin is still successful to this day for a reason

yea because then there'd be no one to make fun of. here's what could happen if they did what they did to gavin to another achievement hunter. michael. endless rage and property destruction, while it would be funny the first few times it would be predictable the only things that would be different would be what he broke and the swears flowing from his mouth. jack. nothing much, there'd be maybe a few swears and then jack would have himself a small laugh. nothing of much value. ray. again lots of anger and a little bit of swearing, but it was a lot harder to get that kind of reaction from him requiring a lot more build up for ray to go off. far more work than was necessary for anyone else to go off and much more work than anyone working at achievement hunter would be bothered to do on a regular basis. geoff. there'd be screaming and then people would start losing their jobs. Ryan. everything would fine at first maybe a bit of surprise then some quite laughter, but then after a few weeks people would start to disappear never to be seen again. jeremy. achievement hunter are currently testing his limits, more time is necessary for this answer to be granted.
