Eligibility (as per NCTE norms)
A candidate may be allowed to appear in the GUBEDCET-2022 provided that she/he has passed the BA / BSc / BCom Or MA / MSc / MCom or equivalent degree programme from a recognised Board/University with at least 50% marks (or 45% marks SC/ST/OBC/PWD).

Gauhati University offers a two-year B.Ed programme in the field of Education. Offered via 39 affiliated colleges under Gauhati University, admission to B.Ed is subject to a university-level entrance exam, namely GU B.Ed CET. On the basis of the scores obtained in the GU B.Ed CET exam, a merit list is prepared with the names of the selected candidates.
However, due to the normal study cycle that has rolled back in 2023 for Class 12 and higher education courses after 2 COVID-impacted years, it is expected that the 2023 admissions will start comparatively early for B.Ed at Guwahati University.
