Gates of Graceland - Million Dollar Quartet

The Million Dollar Quartet - Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis and Johnny Cash - jammed at Sun Studio 60 years ago this month. Elvis' date for the jam session, Marilyn Evans Riehl, chats with host Tom Brown about what it was like to attend that jam session. Marilyn talks about how she met Elvis in Las Vegas, what it was like to meet Elvis' family, the famous jam session and how her story was lost over time.

Larry Blong Elvis dna has been taken from Alien life and he is performing somewhere in a planet far out from our solar system. Elvis is at that level for these unthinkable things to happen.

Such a classy lady. I was introduced to Elvis's music as a very young little girl by my Grandmother. I've been a fan of him and his music ever since. It's amazing how fans back then where. The fans respected him enough to let him have his space. These days, you rarely see that respect.

Amazing music history. Would have liked to have heard her talk about what actually happened in the studio that day. What she remembered about the atmosphere in the room, what Sam Phillips was like, what he was doing while recording, what the other musicians were like, the placement of instruments in the room, how did it end. Did Elvis have any personal thoughts to her about the music he played that day...etc.
