Brief explaination for the nano suit's lore and capabilities: About 100 years ago (game is set in the year 2020, C3 is around 2040) an alien fossil was found, and the 2 men who found it developed new powerful technology from it: the suit and a mean to achieve immortality. Most see the suit as a mere armor, but the truth is it's far more powerful than that. It is a pseudo living being that can adapt to anything, even death. In C2 you're nothing more than a dead man walking because the injures you took from the alien ambush was fatal to a normal person, but the suit not only kept you alive (by growing itself into your wounds) but allowed you to fight as if you were fine. It also protected you when you're exposed to the virus that was supposed to melt everyone into sludge, reverse engineered it then develop a cure. In C3 you're not even alive, you're not even human anymore, you're literally playing as the suit with a corpse in it, spliced with alien DNA and thinking it's Prophet due to the symbiosis imprint. And when all safety features on the suit were removed it could perfect itself by merging into its host on a molecular level (as the last ditch effort to save its host as it's being incinerated from atmospheric entry).

@@lazyflip417 technically i guess. Your character was clinically dead since the start of C2 and officially dead at the end. So while the suit has healed all of your injures by the time of C3, the fact it has to grow into your wounds (yes, the suit heal you by growing itself into your wounds) so much from all the damage, you're pretty much more suit than human

@@k_balu-8104 either way, neither al or prophet were alive in C3, just the suit controlling a man/ceph hybrid body. And seeing the way the suit "fix" its wearer, it's safe to say there isn't a human left in there

@@thecommentguy9380 Yea, its literally a Post-Human Warrior, a harmonic fusion between flesh and machine, and with its endless potential of adaptibility, its already outperformed any other Sci-Fi armors and suits of other franchises, about the no human left in there, its quite possible, since the suit break down organs and replace them with nano fiber and organs that much more effective than the regular human organ, except it won't replace the "useless" organs, such as the stomach since the user, won't eating anything again, suit will keep pumping nutritients directly into the blood stream as its can create them out of nothing, literal nothing, while grim as fuck, the nanosuit is OP as hell, maybe beyond hell

Nomad died sometime after the event of C1 but he died on the island, or at least that's what we believe as there were hints that he was still being hunted after the events of C3

pretty much, the nanosuit is semi organic suit made from seph technology. It doesn’t always attach to your insides but in Alcatraz’s, yes. For most people it will just grow into you skin, and yes that means once you wear it, after a while you can’t take it off.

Also, that's what the undersuit is for. It stops the connection of the nanosuit to only the skin. Since Alcatraz was in pretty horrible condition he bonded with the nanosuit without the undersuit. The nanosuit infused it's parts to hijack his body's organs and take over their controls. Eventually he wouldn't even need to breathe as the suit will diffuse oxygen directly into his brain. Pretty soon Alcatraz's personality was coped so that he won't even need his brain. Or, well, it was Prophet's personality.

His armor gives him greater superhuman abilities and regen/nanotech suit repair, and deflects bullets with his suit.

This armor is, in fact, part of the body like second skin.Inside the Nano suit, it has a lot of needles like stuffs pierce into owner's skin even brain part. The problem is the owner CAN'T take it off by yourself and even you take the suit out the owner will slowly died.

A data file after the end of C3 indicated that Nomad was alive and the last nanosuit operative being hunted. Even if he did really die on Lingshan, remember that the suit can ensure that not even death can stop it or you... as long as no one hit the self-destruct on his armor that is.
