I'm ten minutes older than dirt now and when I was a young throbbing boy growing up in the 60's Gassers were all over the place. When I saw that orange 54 Chevy I was in heaven. That is the car I wanted. I built numerous models ( and didn't even think to sniff the glue ) of 54 Orange Chevys. Chopped up, jacked up, big ole motors, and torshun barbers for super gripshun on those big ole tawrs. Heaven on Earth.

Never get tired of watching and listening to the Gassers. Brings back memories from the 1960"s at the old Houston Drag Race track.

This is definitely one of the best car channels on youtube for street rod enthusiasts... I've decided to drop the LT1 engine from my wrecked Camaro into a '79 El Camino I got on Craigslist... Yeah, I'm gonna build a streetable Gasser... The El Caminos an ex bracket racer w/ a fried 400 small block; but it does have suspension goodies, a good Muncie rock crusher in it and a 4:10 geared 14 bolt diff., the body's straight w/ no rust out...Even has racing seats, gauges & front brake locks on it....Picked up the El for 5k, what a deal...

I'm in Heaven!!!! All that rumble with the volume up, UUUGH, DAAANG!!!!!!
Listening to this with ear pods on. Like being in the pits in the 60s awesome 🍀😎
Love this. And I recognized the area immediately. Only concern: safety for the parked cars. Did anyone notice the opening truck was not lined up straight? This kind of setup is always only one "OOOPS" from a disaster. But, again, loved the action itself.

Bout 25 yrs ago, while in my late teens I bought an old Mercury Zephyr cheap as a back n forth to work car. Body was straight, engine weak and stock C6. I drove it till the engine blew and it sat iny yard for a month or so. Got tired of parking my truck at work and finding new dents and dings every week. My old man had a built 302 sitting in the shop floor he had traded for 20 yrs earlier and being a Chevy family it just sat. After hearing me piss and moan about driving my truck to work he told me to stuff his small block Ford in my old Mercury. He begged me to put a two barrel on it but I went all Holley intake and double pumper 4 barrel. Stock manifolds and exhaust, all stock distributor and fuel system. We took it down to local drag strip and first pass ran a 10.35 in the 1320 at over 125 mph. Stock everything but the engine was outta an old dirt track car. I busted everything that would line up with it that day. Embarrassed a dozen Mustangs and Camaros on the street that week in route to work. Loved that old bucket. My first love affair with Ford. Haven't seen a Zephyr in at least ten or fifteen years now. Wish ida kept it.

Great little gasser show in Socal, not to many people know about this. Too bad I missed bringing Midnite Express to this years show but had prior commitment on the right coast.
Always loved the 55 Chevy I have three of them all 2-door all V8's the most I paid for any of them was $500.00 the second one $50 Bucks and number three was $200... all of them in perfect shape inside and out needed a little bit of work but had them on the road within a week...Always doing something to them to make-um faster....Back in the day you could get any hot rod for less then $2,000...them days are long gone...💰💰💰👋

The Willy's was misfiring I could see how hot some pipes had gotten an others that hadn't on his headers
Love the lope on the first truck, but it didn't make any rpm. That Blue Willy's pickup sounded a bit grouchy, and the 55 Chevy with the 427 that followed was pretty mean too! And the best thing was all the attitude sounded off by the group of gassers near the end. heaven sent sound!
