They aren't needed and they create more issues than they solve.

It also mutes any good car sound.

I would be more worried about the additional back pressure the engine has to overcome.

Newer engines burn oil from the factory due to manufacturers using low tension rings. ( dealers say its normal)

Go drive car for a 45min to 1 hour on open road. Speed should be over 80km/h.... Gpf get high temp and regenerate

I thought that's what the cat was for

That's for carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons not particles

Seems like a way to just stop you doing whatever you want to your car
