Unfortunately a woman in that situation has very few outlets, supporters and people that believe you/ stand by you. During Trump as President, I was triggered so many times. Frightened, angry, anxious, despondent and feeling so alone with the Pandemic and isolation it just escalated 😢

The past six years have been a revelation to me. In my almost 75 years of life I have never had the feeling that our federal and state institutions could be assailed from inside to the point of failing us. Even during the challenges of Vietnam, civil rights and Watergate, when there was a great deal of social unrest and upheaval, the country still felt strong enough to hold together and be sustained. Now, it’s evident that we have come much too close to the edge of anarchy and chaos, because of the gradual movement toward the far right among those who consider themselves to be “conservative,” and the manipulation of those people by a narcissistic demagogue who is perfectly willing to buy into the right’s growing fascism, so long as that gets him what he wants: a permanent seat at the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office, in order to stay out of prison and to dominate the news cycle. We can and MUST do better. Time to tweak our laws in order to prevent this from happening again.

They talk about the threat of an Orwellian dystopia if their political opponents win, despite the fact that having a different opinion from them can have you censored for "misinformation" at best or a target for violence at worst. They say that Republicans and Maga are the violent ones, but I rarely see any bystander get assaulted, shot or ran over for wearing blm/antifa clothing if at all.
