Gaslighting Unmasked: 10 Signs of Emotional Manipulation | Dr. Rami Nader
Gaslighting is a form of emotional abuse that can undermine your perception of reality, cause you to second-guess yourself and maintain a cycle of interpersonal abuse. Gaslighting is very subtle and sneaky, making it difficult to determine when someone is gaslighting you or when you are being gaslit. This video discusses ten signs of gaslighting to help better identify when you are being gaslit or are a target of gaslighting by someone in your life. The various signs of gaslighting include:
a) The person lies to you about something or denies they did something, even when you show them proof.
b) The person insists that an event never occurred or that you are remembering it incorrectly.
c) The person spreads rumours or gossips about you to other people or tells you that other people are spreading gossip about you.
d) The person tells you that you are overreacting when you call them out on their abusive behaviour.
e) The person changes the subject or refuses to listen to you when you challenge them for something that they have done.
f) The person shifts blame to you for their inappropriate or abusive behaviour.
g) There is a disconnect between what the person says to you and how they treat you.
h) The person rewrites history or twists what happened to minimize their abusive behaviour.
i) The person minimizes their abusive behaviour by dismissing it as a joke or tells you that you’re being too sensitive.
j) The person isolates you from friends and family who might recognize the gaslighting behaviour.

Best way to defend is do it back before you loose yourself!
Excellent video. Your examples, immediately reminded me of politicians (we have elections next month, advertisements are everywhere). Then, I laughed when your advertisement break was a political add. It is important to being able to recognize this type of manipulation. Appreciate your thorough explanations and example.

What would happen if one of the worst gaslighters in history were to become the president of the united states and insists on remaining in power regardless of the law?
17:56 that was so exhausted moments I've ever been
There's a situation that really upsets me and when I bring it up he says "oh I'm done with the victim stuff" or "you need to move on" he makes me feel like I'm the problem, is this gaslighting?

It could be. It could also be that he's just not very supportive.
My last relationship. She did that to me.
How do you deal with gaslighting by professionals such as therapists, and other health providers you are dependent on. How does one discern when one is being gaslit by a professional or its your own neurodivergence or borderline stuff making you more sensitive to it. Vague boundaries make it very difficult.
Heyy sir, Why is my brain making me believe in immoral and bad thoughts....? Thanks
