as long as you're the last one detected at the beginning of the game and someone else takes the focus fire, this thing is amazing

personally for me, the Gascogne is where the line took off for me. This ship is a flank runner and she's really good at that. You pick your fights and you destroy flanks. My only remark for your setup is that if your gonna run concealment in slot 3, then steering might be important in slot 2, I run dispersion, steering, and concealment on my Black Gascogne, and it works out really well.

I just slapped my normal BB build on it but I think I mentioned steering in slot 2. The ship and I clash with playstyle. I’m more of a slow start then push in mid to late game. Pushing flanks and picking my engagements more carefully is a skill that I’m continuing to work on.

GG Soulfire. I must admit, I was having issues with the French BBs. I feel the issue is the quad mount guns. The accuracy is good on broadside ships but drops off quickly as they angle. I tend to play French BBs like the British ones, HE at range, and AP under 9km.

Would you run engine overload or demolition expert on Repub and StV?

I really like demo expert on StV. Engine overload isn’t something I stress for that ship. On Repub, I have Auboyneau for the commander. I know I run his Engine overload + skill active but I bounce him around on my premium ships that I want to use that skill on. Normally I’d say go Demo Expert on any BB otherwise.
