Gas Range Oven Won’t Heat for Baking - Top 5 Reasons & Fixes - Kenmore, Whirlpool, Frigidaire & more

Gas Range Little To No Heat When Baking? - Top 5 reasons and EASY DIY instructions to get your Gas Range back to working order.
Reason #1 - Oven Igniter: This small, delicate part can weaken or become damaged over time, causing it to fail to work properly. It may not light the way that it should, or it could be failing to open the safety valve. If the igniter is glowing but doesn’t light the stove, it could be the problem.

Reason #2 - Oven Temperature Sensor: This part helps regulate the temperature in the oven. If the sensor has gone bad, it will not be able to provide an accurate reading of the heat in the oven, which can affect the baking temperature. The sensor could indicate that there is enough heat, which means that the igniter won’t kick on like it should to provide the heat needed.
Reason #3 - Control Board: Every modern gas range has an electronic control board that is responsible for telling the oven how to function and when to do what task. If you have eliminated all other potential issues related to the lack of heat when baking, this could be the issue that you are dealing with.
Reason #4 - Oven Safety Valve: The safety valve is responsible for creating the flow of gas into the range when the unit is engaged for baking. If the valve is defective and cannot open properly, enough gas might not be getting into the unit to heat it correctly.
Reason #5 - Oven Thermostat: When the thermostat, which is part of the control board, goes bad, it will not be able to deliver the voltage to the igniter that helps the stove light and provide the right level of heat. A faulty thermostat will not deliver the right voltage or signals, which will impact the baking quality of the oven.
The 'Top 5 Reasons Your Gas Range is Little To No Heat When Baking' video covers all major brands of Gas Range, including: Kenmore, Whirlpool, Frigidaire, GE & more.

Oven doesn't work or broiler doesn't work or both. If both don't work the first thing I would do is check the oven valve on the inlet regulator. That is not shown in this video. There is a small lever that must be "up" (pulling the valve away from the body) If it is not up the burners will work but the oven and broiler won't. Easy fix just toggle up. Then do these checks. Remember the broiler and oven work the same but with different components. the only thing common is the regulator that feeds gas to the two safety valves. If both don't work pull out the oven then look for the input regulator then the little toggle valve. Lift the lever and test. The rest of this video is fine.

My Kenmore gas oven made a click then popped the breaker. After that it won't heat up. I changed out the igniter but the new igniter won't light either. Broiler and range top still work. Any thoughts?
