I love how Shay kept it real and told him man to man he needs healing, needs to forgive forgiveness in his heart is for his well being and peace. His emotions are being held hostage.
I am the child of divorce. I refused to speak to my father for 10 years. Every Christmas, Easter, and birthday he would send me card with a handwritten note telling me he would always love me, he was there when ever I was ready, and that he was praying for us to be able to heal. I’m proud to say I had to grow up and see the situation from an adult perspective vs a child. Now I talk to may Daddy at least once a week and he’s a fantastic grandparent. God is real- Gary just needs to give them their space and never speak ill of the mother regardless of her sins. The children will come back

I suspect that the children, as young adults, are extremely hurt by the way thier MOTHER was treated during the relationship, the break up and the divorce! They saw her pain! They watched her be broken and could not do anything about it. They are hurt, disappointed, angry and frustrated by thier inability to heal her, rescue her and alleviate her pain. If Gary wants a relationship with them, he will FIRST apologize to thier mother. Reconcile the horribleness of the divorce, offer her the RESPECT she deserves as the Mother of your FIRST LOVES. Then and only then will they come back to him. I pray Gary sees this comment and takes heed, he deserves a relationship with his children 🙏. God bless you Gary ❤

Agree. He is the epiome of the following Psalms which basically says if you are a person of God a person in need you should not have to ask, rather you conscience and heart should be pricked and urged to help. The opposite of this is why the world is in such a state because the "heart of man has waxed cold", others ptoblems are not thier concern and they must be to blame amd fight for themselves. Pity. All most people need is that little bit of selfless help to get back on the right track to a better life. But mever fear God sees and knows all. Pslams 37 verse 25 to 30 - I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread. He is ever merciful, and lends; And his descendants are blessed. Depart from evil, and do good; And dwell forevermore.
Say what you want, but Gary was as open as he could be! Praying his children will realize that all parents are not perfect, and their Dad does love them in spite of!!🙏🏽🫶🏾💙

My dad cheated on my mom and I can remember her taking me by their job and saw my dad’s car parked next to the mistress. I didn’t understand then but I know my mama trashed talked my daddy so bad it played mind games with me and manipulated me into hating my dad. I became rebellious. But it took me becoming an adult and understanding the adult life and humanizing my dad and understanding my mom’s pain. Keep fighting for the kids Gary. Give them time let them live and they will become understanding and open up to you.

Gary don't give up brother. Stay positive. The relationship with your kids is worth it. Keep doing your thing!
Many people forget during a divorce, the kids also go through a heart break. Right now their hearts are broken, and perception of self is probably shattered. They need to heal and sometimes it takes time.

@@TheLykon I am not sure what's your point, because my point was aside from the cheating on their Mom, their hearts (the kids) are also broken. They too are going through heart ache, disappointed, shock etc, their perception of self literally shifted. They have their own pain in this situation, so it's no surprise they don't even want to talk to him. Someone breaks your heart, you don't want to deal with them ,and that's something I don't think Gary understands. He broke their hearts too!

I work in family law & once adult children’s parents divorce they start reflecting on everything from their childhood, they take sides, have resentment, their memories of what they were told as children during times versus what they know was really happening now that they’re adults definitely requires healing. Shoot some of them eventually realize why they’re in therapy or have certain issues from their childhood they couldn’t put their finger on
