Gary Oldman discusses his starring role as Winston Churchill in the film “Darkest Hour.” He's joined by co-star Kristin Scott Thomas, who plays Lady Churchill, and director Joe Wright.
“Darkest Hour” begins on the eve of World War II and finds Churchill faced with a tough decision regarding his country's future: explore a peace treaty with Nazi Germany or prepare to fight.

    I have been listening to the Leonard Lopate show for over 20 years. He will be missed by many and I believe WNYC treated him very poorly .

    Oldman might be the greatest actor ever. I could put Daniel Day Lewis up there, and Christian Bale. And there's old school guys like Nicholson. But sorry, if you can go from the pimp who wants to be a black dude, to Commissioner Gordon in batman. That's pretty wild.
