But think of how strange it would be to see an ocean of people pushing, sweating and crying to see your dad perform. Because no matter how cool your dad is, to you he is just dad. Because she gets to see through any kind of mystique to see him as a regular person. But then she goes on stage where he becomes dad, the rock god. That has to be a trip.

Too funny. I saw him in Seattle around 1979/80 as a 13 yr old with my older brother. First concert ever. I'd seen him on SNL. Well, over the years I bought some more of his music and one of my daughters told me he was coming to Seattle so I bought 4 tickets. I brought my 26 and 21 yr old daughters, and also my 14 yr old son that had never been to a concert. So, his first concert too...Gary Numan. Now, I'd not seen any videos or anything of Gary Numan in recent times. So, wow was I impressed when I saw the show. Wow, simply blown away. I love all rock, especially Heavy Metal types...so his new style totally fits my flavor for hard agressive rock. Yup, the Neptune Theater in Seattle was full of folks like me that were in their 40-50s, with their kids. A night to remember, and can't wait to see Gary again!

This performance is absolutely fascinating. We see a scared little girl come on stage and get a big hug from her Rock Legend dad. At :30 seconds, just before they start, Gary gives her a quick grab of encouragement (like a great dad should). Persia is nervous, but at about 2:00 minutes she starts to loosen up. At about the 4-minute mark, Gary looks over at her and you can see his pride. That's the moment Persia's inner rock star shows up. It's like that look he shoots her gives her permission and suddenly show owns the stage. Her stance widens a bit, she's swaying and looking directly at the camera. Then the song ends, Gary can't wait to hug her, pride just beaming off him. And then she gives that little "thank you" squeak and she's a little girl again.

the 1st gig I ever went to was Gary Numan at the Glasgow apollo in 1980 (I was 9 years old and my dad took me) no other gig after has ever been as good. I've seen him numerous times since but seeing him as a 9 year old blew my tiny little mind and he still blows me away to this day I've seen some of the "biggest" bands on earth and nobody will ever top Gary

Man, they’re freakin’ drilling it on this tune. Totally Numan’s style, in a contemporary manner. Been a fan for almost 40 years (!!) and am floored by several songs on this album! Bravo!

i've been a fan of yours since i was a child. 45 now, so basically just an older child, but regardless. what you do makes this a better place, and seeing you on stage with Persia, and the obvious love is heart warming. keep doing what you're doing.

Saw him live in Oxfordshire around 10 years ago on a small stage in the bar venue, it was great, you could see him very close and the lightshow was looking something like the Alien movie, with lightspots turning around from underneath, not above. Stunning atmosphère !

So I just found a movie on TV called Android in La La La Land about Gary's move to LA. It came out right before this album and tour say 2016. Persia was still a tiny 8 or 9 year old. She was one of twins and her twin died in birth. Very sad that Gary Numan and his wife lost seven children two miscarriages before Persia was born. And then you see this magical live performance. What a proud moment. Great to go back and see it again while we are all locked in our houses. This must be killing him during Coronavirus. He is a very complex man with complex issues and he deserves everything he has. A beautiful home, amazing family, and apretty damn good life.
