Just shows you how important application and attitude is, the best book I've read is by Craig Johnstone, his talent wasn't natural and he overheard Jack Charlton wanting to send him home,it drove him to practice and practice and was eventually signed by Liverpool,a great example of "you can do anything if you want it enough"

The one on one interviews for Sir Alex are much better for a man of his age, this is no disrespect as hes still sharp but I think the pacing for him and being able to stop for an edit or 2 would be better for him rather than the off the cuff of 5 other people

Ian Wright might be the most wholesome guy in football. A genuine national treasure. Always tries to involve people, always sees the positives and tries to understand. Been watching MOTD for years and you only really see people as pundits. Overlap has shown a bit more of whats behind the masks.

I can't remember if i sent an email before lunch and Jamie can recall positional changes from a 20 year old game he didn't even play in. Absolutely incredible.
I will always see Roy as the big brother of the class of '92. Not sure if that's fair, but he just gives the vibe that he's proud of them and proud of having played with them.

Carragher telling Neville and Keane where they played in a match in 1995...amazing knowledge/memory. I actually worked at Old Trafford for 18 months in 2009/10...Gary was a gentleman on the few occasions I spoke to him. Great episode 👍🏼
Most modest and underrated player ever. Carried Becks through 2 International tournaments when Becks had niggles. There's a reason England has so many quality right backs now. That reason is Gary Neville
Wrighty signing off so quickly and saying right lets go home, and then gets up and immediately heads to Gary to hug him. What a man. Love the camraderie on the show.
Roy Keane is a legend. When he mocks Gary is funny. But even better when he says he deserves better than to put himself down was a nice moment too.

Gary is a true legend! One of my favorite players of all time. His dedication and IQ are what made him a great player for United and England. He doesn’t get the love he deserves because he jokes about his own style of play. He was the best RB in England in his era.

GNev was so consistent and 100% knew his position inside and out. Never tried to do anything fancy. Just always disciplined performance. Very professional also very very consistent which is the key I always felt for England safe. When he was at right back I knew he would put a shift in and not make many mistakes. That's it

Great episode having Gary as the Guest. One of the most humble player tbf. Maybe it is his upbringing of being so down to earth. He deserve all the credits as much as all his teammates got. People still think Sir Alex will pick someone mid for what 15 years for his team's success all those years. Think again guys. Gary is brilliant.
"You go against him - you go against all of us". Keane's words in regards of the abuse David Beckham received after 98 World Cup. It's astonishing to see he's still like this for his Teammates. He defended with passion Solskjaer, Ronaldo and every former teammate of his that he felt was being attacked. Now hearing he was annoyed by Garry's self deprecation. What a man!
For all the stick he gets, Gary Neville is one of the best defenders United and England have ever had, and maybe among the best of all time. Consistent & reliable, gave 100% every single match, no surprise he went on to have the career he had. United probably don’t win as much as they do without him, they sure could use someone like him now. Neat to see him in the guest seat!

I love Gary’s honesty. He has the ability to be genuinely unbiased and prepared to highlight his own shortcomings and play himself down. Love what he had to say about his brother/family. Like him or not, agree with him or not…either way he comes across as a genuinely good guy
Gary Neville is an absolute national treasure.
Iv not seen the comments but il say it for the majority of viewers. Having Gary as the guest is a brilliant move. One of the best English right backs and one of best to play in England. Under appreciated massively and glad they pulled him up about downplaying himself. Top class getting to see him open up about himself after the amount of hardwork he does and no one gives praise.

Say all you want about Gary especially is stint at Valencia but that man's got determination and discipline in abundance, and it proves that hard work pays off ,when Ian was introducing him and saying how much trophies he's won, and the fact he didn't stop after finishing his footballing career he carried on with his life in a determined way to succeed even after his footballing career. Nothing but respect Gary, BIG UP YOURSELF MY G!!!!!

Gary was my idol and role model as a fellow RB back during my playing days. I would just watch him during games on TV to see what he does and incorporate them into my own game. Hands down the best RB in the world for me at the height of his career, and definitely a top bloke until now. Deserves all the credit he gets and more. Even until today, his work ethics and discipline should be admired. If only the current United players have even half the amount of dedication, discipline, and work ethics that GNev and his teammates had, United would be doing so much better as a whole.

Really enjoyed this surprise interview with Gary. I have massive respect for Gary and appreciate his honesty, work ethic and genuine humble attitude. What a wonderfully entertaining, inspirational and funny show… kudos to everyone involved.
This was great. Glad to see his peers giving Gary Neville the respect he deserves. He really is one of the great right backs of the Premier League and one of the greatest English right backs of all time.
Finally an episode when Gary can continually speak and not feel guilty! (In all seriousness though love this series, keep it up everyone!)
When you hear Gary talk about the legends like Nobby Styles and the ethos within united,made the class of 92 and imprinted into the club, It’s so important to get Roy Keane back at that club in some capacity it transcends the years.
I would give anything to sit in the studio with this lot! I could listen to their stories for hours! Especially the United lads. I'd have so many questions. And Carraghers memory and knowledge of football history is amazing!
Great episode, it’s nice to see Neville getting some praise. Annoying when he puts himself down all the time it's like he's trying to please all the rivals that hate United. He's easily one of the best right backs we've seen in the league that's why he kept his place in the team so long, Sir Alex was ruthless but he always stuck with Neville

When it comes to Roy, I believe that Gary had the perfect characteristics as a teammate. Incredible work ethic, great character, good knowledge of the game and elite mentality.
That list of accolades of garys is incredible, he should be a legend in most people eyes.
As a United fan I always liked Gary, however my favourite thing about him is the side of him we've seen since he's finished. Really driven and honest about it, open to telling you how difficult it's been at parts and how focused he's had to be. He is a very impressive person and a lot of people would do well using Gary as a role model.
Gary's mentality for the young generation is liquid gold! Hope this inspires not only the young ones but anyone that needs a mentality shift!

One thing, Gary was better than he says, always consistently good performance at the highest level - in one of the best teams of that era. He always gave 100% effort. Rarely had a bad game, and managers love that.

It was a great move for Ian to take lead in hosting this Episode. It's true when they say Gary plays down his career. He needed that "no nonsense positivity". Even for all the jokes Roy makes, bottom line is he has a lot of respect for Gary's work ethic.
44:20 Gary on Keane, "He used to say to us, 'no is a sentence."' That's a completely unapologetic mindset. Philosophical as well. Love it!
So nice how the guys finally give Gary his dues, because he was the best right back in england forever and it deserves some credit. I do appreciate the humble attitude though of course.

Really hope the guys can make this happen… would break the internet seeing Roy and Sir Alex putting aside their differences. Everyone would love to see these two legends being great friends again!
