As a guitarist and musician myself I will never forget the day. I was there when it first hit the radio waves. Eddie's eruption sent every guitarist worldwide back to the drawing board how in the hell is he playing like that and how does he get that tone. That one guitar solo catapulted Eddie straight to King status. To this day there's not a guitarist you don't see that hasn't been influenced by Eddie even Jeff Beck attempts Eddie's double taps. It was the shot heard round the world. And that's not even mentioning what other talents he graced us with. And Gary, that was a very moving tribute. I remember learning about you in the 70s. Focus is some of the best musicians in the world including you. I've always been in awe of your playing you are amazing talent. Thank you for this God bless you 👍

Feel exactly the same, i remember where i was when Runnin With The Devil played over the radio, it was like, Whoa,Whoa, Who the hell is that? Another British badass of some sort? No, there called VanHalen out of S California. Finally we had somethin for those Brits! Lol. I play as well. Just a few years, picked it up late. 57, seen everybody who was anybody. Best live performance, easy, ACDC 81’ FTATR tour, Loudest band i ever saw easily. Saw Ed & the boys in 84’ Jump tour, phenomenal as well. That freakin tone live is a beast!

@@dennisperin2989 I have too many favorite shows to label anyone as number one. Although I did get to see the Beatles when I was six years old and I remember it like yesterday no pun intended 😀 yes I've seen everyone from Aerosmith the ZZ Top everything in between I miss them all the best times of my life. Although I only got to see Van Halen once the date I took got sick and threw up right in the middle of Eddie's guitar solo and I took her outside for some fresh air and they wouldn't let us back in 😠. And worse yet I didn't get any after the show. The loudest show I recall was Yngwie Malmsteen at a small club on the Eastside of Detroit. For 3 days I could still hear Yngwie 😂 owned a mountain of equipment over the years share some of your equipment stories with me if you get a chance. Thanks for your experiences to. Rock on brother!

His bass player, I don't recall the gentleman's name, but anyways watching him slap on stage changed my bass playing ability overnight. He was obviously a fan. Not to mention the musical tastes of the city I lived in were extremely guitar oriented. They always played this mix every Christmas that had you in it. It was groovy. Anyway, I really love how you tipped your hat to Eddie but you remained true to your style☢️. BRAVO!!!!

Good job buddy! I love the hammer btw! Also question about all your heads? Why so many 5150s? I see 2 x 50 w on left and 2 x 100 w on right definitely looks like different variations. Like for example on right bottom looks like 100w EL34 top is 100w stealth? On left looks like a 6L6 and possibly also a EL34. Why so many lol? Honestly it is cool AF bro but overkill much lol? What is the story in all those?
